About this property

Beautiful quiet beach home, short walk to the beach and EV friendly

A newer two story 3 bedroom 2 bath home located on a quiet street in the Bay Harbor Subdivision. The home has beach views from every room (200 yds from ocean). There are two large covered decks to enjoy the ocean views and crashing waves. You can enjoy sunsets every night from the back deck or get a better view from the 2nd floor deck. The home has a large living room with 10ft ceilings open to the kitchen. There is a 55 inch smart TV with high speed internet in the living room. The island in the kitchen seats 6 and there is also a small breakfast table for two. The kitchen is equipped with stainless steel appliances and quartz counter tops. The master bedroom has a queen bed on the main floor. The 2nd bedroom has a queen and the 3rd bedroom (the bunk room) has 3 twins, 1 full and a queen futon. The bathrooms both feature a quartz double vanity. One bathroom has tub shower combo the other is a shower. The ground floor is a great place to enjoy the ocean breeze or shower off in our outdoor shower . Down stairs has an 8ft picnic table as well as a grill. The neighborhood has two boat launches (great fishing), a fishing pier, and a pavilion. What we love about this house is that its a very quiet neighborhood outside the big city. Our house's unique properties are that its higher than most of our neighbors for more privacy and views of the ocean.

We have recently installed an 11kw EV charger available with a deposit

What a fun place to stay! It was such a great location close to beach access but also not so close to Galveston that you had all the crowds! Overall fantastic stay. Would definitely recommend if you have a large group that needs a place to stay. We enjoyed the outside balconies so much!

Overall a good stay. My family enjoyed themselves and didn't want to leave. The beach was very close not far at all. We had minor complaints though the paint could use some updating in the bed rooms. Everything was clean with the exception of a dead cockroach in the living room. I'm not sure why there were no blinds in the living area at night it's very uncomfortable. We would definitely return again.

We arrived and checked in easily based on the VRBO instructions. Communication with Steven was excellent! The house was great. It cooled down well which is really important in the Texas heat! We used the grill, he even has EV charging for an extra fee if you need that! We would definitely stay here again. Nice quiet neighborhood!

Place was very spacious, although not all rooms matched what profile pictures showed. Great location to beach, 1 mile from closest store so very convenient. Area was very quiet and clean, great for more lowkey getaways. Would definitely stay again.

This house was a great place for my family to relax after Christmas. Quiet, close to the beach, lots of pots and pans for cooking, and the kids loved the bunk room.

We had a very difficult time getting the key pad to open the front door. There was a very peculiar odor upon entering the house. Couldn't quite pinpoint what it was. Maybe the house had been closed up and not used for a bit. Might have been a musty odor. Just not sure but the threshold on the inside of the front door was clearly rotted. The beds were comfortable. Did not love the stains on the shower curtain and the water pressure from the showerhead could have been better. The kitchen had plenty of dishes and pots and pans but very little silverware. Teaspoons and forks are sorely needed. We could not locate the beach chairs or toys. Never having stayed in a house on stilts we found the slight swaying movement a little disconcerting. The door lock proved just as problematic to lock as unlock. The house is in a beautiful location and only a short walk to the beach, a great location for attending our beach wedding. We enjoyed our time there.

The house was nice but could use a major clean; we saw a few roaches.The worst part was the smoke alarm or co2 alarm started beeping at 3 am and beeped about 3 times every hour so we checked out early when I really wanted to sleep in

We had a good time. A few things would have made our stay more comfortable such as matches or a lighter for the BBQ, coffee, and some kitchen items like ziplocks, tinfoil etc - for leftover food storage. It does need some updating in the way of house maintenance- the entry way flooring was missing with an attempt to cover it with a rug. The walls need painting as they were scratched up and dirty and all the TV cords were hanging down the walls and exposed. Despite these things, my kids had a great time and have asked to go back again.

Why they chose this property

We decided to buy this property due to the wonderful views and proximity to the beach. It has all the features we enjoy in the home rentals we have used in the past and more. It feels like home to us and we hope you get to relax and enjoy our home as much as we enjoy our home.

What makes this property unique

The double balcony on the home allows wonderful chances to wake up and enjoy the view without waking anyone else in the house. Patio Shower is a great place to rinse off the sand from the beach on your person and toys.
