House was exactly as shown, super close walking distance to beach (even with small kids), plenty of room for all of us, host does a great job of leaving little notes around the house with helpful ideas. Photos are from our view walking to the beach and of the sunrise from the deck.
House was in a great spot. Liked beach was within walking distance. Conveniently close to pizza joint and small grocery store. House needed some updates and outer paint job, kitchen was very small. Corner where micro and coffee pot were was a very tight squeeze to work with. Other than that stay was relaxing and enjoyable.
Ac never worked properly House is ‘white washed’ to look good in photos but definitely not good in person

great location
Great location but listing was not correct, there was only one full bath and a half bath which makes it tough when you bring a houseful, house had some water damaged walls, no plugs in the restrooms, towel racks falling off the walls, bathtub did not have a working plug, the tv in one of the back bedrooms had no connection box or plug. The house was decorated very nicely and had a well stocked kitchen. The upper deck underneath was nice for sitting outside. The laundry was in this underneath area and not inside the house.

I’m sorry you found our amazing vintage beach house not up to your standards. It’s a labor of love and we love it dearly. We do not have our listing incorrect. We clearly state that there is a full bath, half bath and outdoor shower. This is stated in multiple places. We have no interest in Miss representing our house. It is rented day after day with many return renters. It seems you did not read the details in the listing very well.
Yes at some point in the past there was water damage. And the vintage paneled walls warped in a few spots. It’s a 1970s house that has survived endless hurricanes. The warped walls are painted and it’s not an issue. After all it is a beach house.
In regards to towel racks and tvs this is news to us. It’s a small house and when renters abuse it things like this happen and we are unaware. If this gets brought to my attention I’m always happy to get things fixed up. But I’m only made aware if someone is kind enough to tell me.
Our choice is a 900-1000sq foot home built in the 1970s. We don’t try to pretend it’s more than it is. Hence why it’s also listed at a price less than $300. It sounds like you were expecting a million dollar stay on a $10 dollar bill and I find your review offensive. You should pay more attention to the details of the listing and the pictures provided. It is what it is. A cute adorable BUNGALOW built 50 years ago. Nothing more and nothing less.
Our house has been listed on Airbnb for over 2 years and I have never had a 3 star review. This is the first.
Our family really enjoyed the stay. Our only issue was how how the 2nd and 3rd bedrooms were. Box fans helped that a lot. We also wish there were bigger blankets on the bunk beds. We managed with another blanket though.
We are from Oregon and this was our first time in Galveston. The house was great and had everything we needed for our stay and for the beach and is only a short walk away. Our family of 6 was on a road trip celebrating our oldest’s graduation from HS and the 3 bedrooms with bunks in two of the rooms worked great for us. We plan to visit Galveston again and will definitely book this house again!
Lovely time, closest I’ve ever stayed to the beach
The house was super cute and conveniently located. Felt like home! The few (and minor) issues we had were immediately addressed by host and friendly neighbor. There’s no other place I’d stay in Galveston.
This is an older house, but it was great for our family. The kitchen had supplies we were missing, tons of extra blankets, outdoor shower off area, and more. We really enjoyed it!
