Perfect midweek getaway for a nature retreat
Beautiful, peaceful property. This was the perfect home base for me as I was attending a nearby training immersed in nature. Host was generous and responsive. Can't wait to return with my husband for another getaway.

Perfect once again
This is the second time my girlfriend and I have stayed here with our dog. We both find so much peace in this property. Everything was perfect just as we remembered it. It was a bit too cold this time around to enjoy the deck as much as last time but the house is so cozy that it didn't bother us. David is a great property manager with punctual communication.

Exactly what we needed!
Perfect stay - quiet, close to outdoor activites, and yet close enough to urban conveniences. Will stay here again!

Serenity - Weeding Weekend!
My husband and I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Historic Mill House through VRBO for our wedding weekend, and we couldn't be happier with our choice! The house was exceptionally clean, and the kitchen and bathroom had been wonderfully updated. The host had thoughtfully stocked the kitchen with various essentials, which turned out to be a lifesaver when we realized we'd forgotten our shampoo on the morning of our wedding. The property's yard is an absolute gem. Surrounded by trees, it offers a tranquil and private atmosphere, making it a perfect space for kids and pets to run around freely. One of our favorite moments was sipping coffee on the second-story balcony in the mornings, and then later enjoying evening grill sessions around the fire. We wholeheartedly recommend this place and are already planning our return. It was an unforgettable experience!

About the host

Hosted by David

Host profile image
Jackie and David are native Marylanders who love the outdoors. David grew up in Baltimore County and spent many days fishing the trout streams of northern Baltimore County. Both of us love rivers and kayaking and enjoy hiking and camping.

Why they chose this property

We both fell in love with the Mill House, its peaceful setting and unique history. The previous owners did a beautiful job restoring this circa 1856 house in keeping with its historic character but with modern amenities and conveniences. The original art on the walls was painted by a prior owner. Note the thickness of the house's stone walls, built by human hands over160 years ago.

What makes this property unique

Solitude and beauty surround you. Be sure to walk down the road past beautiful farms to Little Falls and look for small trout and crayfish in the clear, flowing waters.
