The Neighborhood:
Imagine sitting on the covered patio, sipping your morning coffee, and watching the deer in the distance. Emerald green grass is in full view, as the Baywood Golf Course surrounds the property.
The house is located on Baywood Ln, which is a private road. Because this is a private road, we ask guests not to walk further up the hill to the neighbor's homes. You can walk to the left out of the driveway and go left or right for a nice stroll around the golf course
Baywood Country Club is a private course. If you are interested in golf, please let us know and we can see if it is possible to get you on the course. The official rule is that the member needs to be with the guest but we have found calling the pro shop with reservations can often work.
A short drive from the house is Murphys Supermarket for stocking up on supplies (2 miles)

Great place to share with lots of friends. Had a small plumbing issue upon arrival, however, the host responded immediately and sent a plumber right away. Did not impact the stay. Beautiful grounds and comfortable rooms.
We had a great time during our stay. The house was clean and had everything we needed, including some great local recommendations in their guidebook. Jon was incredibly responsive and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The location was also perfect for exploring the National Redwood Forest. We'd love to stay again!
Nice location. Visited the redwoods and enjoyed that. Some beautiful trees and trees stumps on the lot. Some of the property is a bit dated. Three bathrooms made it a little tight for our large group. Sofa and coffee table were a bit big for that living room. Hot tub and yard was very nice.
My group had a fantastic retreat weekend at this lovely property. We took advantage of all the amenities, especially the hot tub, outdoor kitchen, darts, pool table, cornhole, the hammocks, and the walking trail. Hoping to make a return visit next summer.
This property was perfect for our large family of 10. Plenty of room to spread out when needed, but plenty of common space as well. Nice and clean with great amenities. Short driving distance to the beautiful Redwoods, beaches, and the quaint towns. Would definitelystay here again as well and recommend to others.
This property deserves high ratings. The location was incredible. Inside and out it was the perfect size for our large group. Family entertainment options for all ages were abundant without leaving the property. A great gathering place!!

Close to Redwoods
Wonderful outdoor space! Loved the hot tub and badminton and pool table. Some spaces (cottage) were musty and dusty so we weren’t able
to use them.
This house is awesome. It had plenty of space for 13 of us, comfortably. Between the jacuzzi, pool, sitting on the hill, and hiking nearby, there was no shortage of stuff to do.
Katie was a great and responsive host. She helped make sure our stay was perfect.
We had a wonderful stay at Jon & Katie’s beautiful home. My family, ranging in age from 14-85 yo, stayed for four nights to attend my niece’s wedding. The home was spacious, clean, well-equipped, and comfortable. With so many bedrooms we were easily able to spread out, and the varied living/gathering spaces made relaxation and hanging out fun. The outdoor fire pit, hammocks, corn hole etc were the cherry on top. Jon &Katie were very communicative, responding quickly and helpfully. We would recommend their home without reservation.
This property was perfect for our family vacation. It was close to the beach, hiking and exploring towns, but also perfect for just staying home and spending time together. The kids loved the swing and pathways, and most of all, banana slugs! Adults played games, sat in the hot tub and gathered around the fire every night. Katie was super responsive. Highly recommend this property!
My family loves outside but they were still cleaning up the backyard from all the rain and storms they were experiencing. The swing had broke, only one hammock, piles of limbs BUT the hot tub and firepit and grill were wonderful! Plenty of space for all 12 of us. Kitchen was large enough for several to work at the same time. My family loved the many large stumps around property and finding banana slugs, salamanders.
Our-of-the-way and right on golf course. Very quiet (except for mowing of greens). We had 18 people at maximum occupancy, with beds for almost everyone, and even then, the place didn't seem crowded. We all fit around inside table and outside table, at fire pit (and near grill), for much reminiscing (this was a memorial trip). Three bathrooms, thankfully, not two, and they are well-appointed; true, we had to make a TP run (and also to get coffee filters), but otherwise the place was well-stocked. Minor issues with sports equipment (damaged / missing), but that's easily fixed; in all, we had a great time, and truly enjoyed the very local wildlife (deer, banana slugs, skunk). Great having redwoods in the backyard, literally, and the famous groves, and hiking, within an hour's drive.
Overall, we had a wonderful stay. The house and backyard are both so beautiful, and the location was private and quiet. We had children with us, and it was very thoughtful of the hosts to include toys for them in the bunk room, and a baby gate! We were able to get an early check-in which was MUCH appreciated. Check in and check out were very simple, and the hosts offered great communication and wonderful recommendations of things to do.Regarding cleanliness, I would give 3-4/5 stars. There were some stains/goop on various walls that could’ve been easily wiped away; unopened candy in the bunk room (choking hazard for dogs/kids); as well as trash under the couch (including food wrappers). The beds seemed clean though, and that’s always my #1 priority. The home came with lots of amenities including televisions and WiFi, but unfortunately, these were not all working. The TV in the master bedroom seems to be having an issue with the screen as it was so dim (despite the brightness being turned to 100%), it was basically impossible to see. The TV in the bunkroom was also non-working. The WiFi did not reach the basement or master bedroom barely at all, and didn’t reach the separate cabin at all so that TV was useless, as well. This was disappointing. I was also a little perturbed that I was unable to find basic cleaning supplies, like a vacuum or even extra paper towels (we were only left with 1/2 roll). Overall, I would stay again despite these minor issues.
We had 18 people total and it was absolutely awesome! The house has plenty to do inside and out. Rooms were split up nicely. The heat went off during the stay but they fixed it fairly quickly.
We had a wonderful time. The house is beautiful and equipped with anything you might need. We used all seven bedrooms and each was unique and comfortable. We loved the detached guest house. Look forward to returning for our next big family gathering.
Ten years ago, Our son fell in love with a Eureka native girl. Their wedding was here where love first began. This vrbo was quiet, and just beautiful. It was a ways from everything since family lived in Eureka and the venue was at Bear Creek Casino. But oh to come back to a beautiful place to unwind by the campfire was awesome. We didn’t use the hot tub. There was an issue with the water. But the communication with the property manager was great. Thank you for this beautiful home. We had a blast at the wedding and enjoyed this vrbo so much. Positive feedback for sure. We will be back and will keep this place in mind. Aloha and Mahalo 🌻
This is a beautiful property. It’s very well equipped. They’ve gone the extra mile to make this a very memorable stay. Everyone loved it - adults, kids, dogs. It actually has three bathrooms (advertised with two when we rented).
The property is great! However, there was a bunch of chipmunks living in the kitchen cabinets. Not much of a nuisance except there were a couple cabinets with droppings in them. Other than that, our stay was fantastic.
