The expansive 5,400+ sq ft of living space includes 7 bedrooms (1 on 1st Fl, 4 on 2nd Fl, 1 on 3rd Fl, and 1 in finished basement), 5 full baths (2 on 1st Fl, 2 on 2nd Fl, 1 in finished basement). Enjoy a unique dinning experience with views to the stars from our barn dinning room, which can host 12 easily for dinner. This is a property where you can have your privacy, space to spread out and access to the beach all in one. Trust us when we say this house is both gorgeous and unique!

This historic home is situated on 6 private acres and offers large gathering rooms including an eat-in kitchen, dining room, living room, library, and game room. Modern amenities include central A/C, radiant floor heating, Wi-Fi throughout.

Lastly we have created a great outdoor living and eating experience to host small gatherings in our late 1600s barn, complete with dinning, barbecue, lounging for 10-12.

Amazing Experience

This home was beyond our expectations. A step back in time but with modern touches. More space than we expected, very clean and comfortable. We had 11 of us staying and there was plenty of room for everyone to enjoy time together but also have privacy. The grounds were expansive, the neighborhood was private and a short walk to the beach. We’ve never traveled to Mattapoisett before this trip. Everyone we interacted with at markets, restaurants and other businesses were super friendly and accommodating. Kudos to Diane Rossi, who handles the property for the owner. Diane was always responsive and provided all the information needed to make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this home for great get away.

Unforgettable Thanksgiving

The location of the house was perfect. The local fire department was dependable. The beach is within walking distance from the house. Huge yard for the kids. This very old house was spacious and magnificent.

We are an active family with a bunch of children and pets who love to travel and explore cultures around the world. We are excited to offer this beautifully decorated and modernized 1680's farm house to families or individuals seeking an escape. One of our favorite things is to watch hawks and osprey overhead, families of deer crossing the lawn, rabbits and turtles wandering by. Work from home has allowed us to balance zoom calls with walks to the beach or kayaking on the ocean.

Why they chose this property

This property will provide a memorable place to enjoy a relaxing getaway. The neighborhood is away from the hustle and bustle but walking distance to beach and conservation land. Just over 1 hour from Boston by car, no need to deal with Cape bridge traffic, this property has it all. You and your guests will have access to a private and expansive farm with places to enjoy each others' company or just escape to a hammock to read a book. The property is just minutes from a private association beach, where you can swim, launch kayaks or just simply relax in the sun. The farmhouse has 7 bedrooms and is beautifully furnished. On the main floor you will find one of the seven bedrooms with a private en suite bathroom, a family room, library, dining room, guest bathroom, kitchen, laundry room and mud room. On the second floor four more bedrooms and two full bathrooms. On the unusual third floor, a bedroom. Finally, in the finished basement is a perfect place to hang out and enjoy a relaxing TV area, a game of ping pong, space to play, and a full bath and bedroom. The property is located on a private 6 acre lot. Relax by the barn and enjoy the fire pit or play badminton, horse shoes or volleyball in the riding ring.
