It was a pleasure to welcome this group of friends from Düsseldorf. They were very enthusiastic about discovering our estate. Despite the grey weather and the advanced season, they even went for a swim in the pond and took full advantage of the Nordic bath and the plancha. They also went for a walk through the property, following the Dragonflies walk signs. They were a great group of smiling, energetic friends, and we look forward to welcoming them again!
About the host
Hosted by Anne Champion
Anne and Jean-Luc are originally from Wallonia and have travelled extensively. Anne travelled the world as a flight attendant and Jean-Luc, as a photographer, has also produced a number of books on contemporary houses around the world. The couple have been running design gîtes for 20 years, and love to welcome guests and pass on their passion for this piece of nature that is their estate. They are also happy to offer advice on heritage, art and local addresses.
Why they chose this property
A wide variety of dragonflies, ducks, frogs, birds, herons, deers and foxes will immerse you in a world of sights and sounds. A long pontoon invites you to swim in the pure water fed by numerous springs on the property. This unique 6-hectare haven in unspoilt nature is shared exclusively with the owners!
What makes this property unique
During the day, there are lovely walks through this piece of nature and its many ponds, or a dip in the large swimming pond followed by a Nordic bath the soun of birds dominates, as no cars pass along the small dead-end road leading to the property In the evening, there is the frog choir and the twinkling stars, as there are no street lights. The most difficult thing is to leave the estate, as people appreciate this immersion in peaceful nature so much that they never want to leave.
