About this property
Gîtes de France® - Le Logis de Calypso
Facing the Castle of the Deans of the Renaissance period, in the heart of the listed village of Carennac, is the Logis de Calypso. Push open the front door topped by a lintel engraved with the date 1791...and you enter the contemporary atmosphere of the living room, extended by a terrace which offers a remarkable view of the Dordogne river it overlooks! This house, formerly occupied by a beekeeper and the former village hairdresser, has been given a second youth thanks to Raoul and Lucienne DARNIS, You will be welcomed by Didier and Nicole (gingerbread producers). With its singular cow in weather vane at the top of the roof, this house which holds its name of the island which is located just opposite, welcomes very pleasantly 2 persons. We particularly like the very good comfort present everywhere, the cosy bedroom upstairs with its beautiful shower room, its terrace above the river and its small garden decorated with a majestic palm tree! Village house adjoining a year-round dwelling, not overlooked. On the ground floor: living room with sofa, armchair, flat screen TV, and kitchenette with all the equipment, separate toilet, semi-covered terrace with garden furniture and barbecue. Upstairs, by straight stairs, open attic bedroom with a double bed and shower room + wc. Small enclosed garden on the ground floor accessible by a staircase via the terrace. Free parking in the village. Facing the Castle of the Deans of the Renaissance period, in the heart of the listed village of Carennac, is the Logis de Calypso. Absolument parfait!
