This place is a must! The cabin is spacious and clean!
The waterfront is the best view, we had plenty of fun with the kayaks, the hammocks and everything this cabin has to offer!
This is one of the best properties we have stayed at in Broken Bow. Excellent amenities, extremely clean, and well stocked for a nice stay. The communication with the host was great as well. We will definitely return to this property when visiting Broken Bow again!
Had a great time staying here for long weekend, very relaxing! Couldn’t light outdoor fireplace, but great communication and got fixed right away. Would definitely stay here again.
We had never been to Hochatown but had always wanted to visit. Planned a trip over fall break, took the side by sides to ride along with going down town to enjoy all the activities there. Overall had a great experience the house was perfectly located! Would definitely go back!
Our cabin was awesome and so much fun with all the tv's and games. The kayaks where the highlight of the trip having them ready and available was a plus. The beds were so comfortable and the fireplaces a plus in the evening. Scott was an awesome host and even allowed us to check in early and check out late. You won't go wrong renting here and we will return for a longer stay.

Appreciate the kind words and look forward to having you back !
Nice place, nice location great house. The only thing that I would work on is the cleanliness of the outside. Cobwebs and a lot of dirt on the porches. It didn’t bother us but it would make a difference to some I’m sure

Hi James - we appreciate you staying with us and are so glad to hear you enjoyed your stay and the home! Spring is a tougher time of year to keep the outside clean (especially being directly on the beautiful lake). Thanks to your comment, we will be powerwashing the outside porch and cleaning the furniture to ensure this is addressed. We and future guests thank you!
We enjoyed our stay immensely. If we had any questions, Scott was available and very willing to help out. The cabin is lovely with lots of windows and very bright. We enjoyed walking through the neighborhood, fishing, kayaking, and s'mores by the fire. There's an old-school Pac-Man machine and plenty of games for all ages, the home even smells new! The kitchen is awesome for cooking for a large group, There were 10 of us and we were all very comfortable. We will be back!
Spending a long weekend in Hochatown is an annual event for our family for the past 4 years.
This property was super clean with a well stocked kitchen and bathrooms, beautiful nestled amongst the trees with a fishing pond (yes, we caught fish) just off the back patio. The location was easily found and near all the activities of Hochatown.
Scott was most helpful with answering all questions and making the arrangements go smoothly.
We had a great time and will definitely be back!
Thanks again Scott!

My husband & I stayed, along with our daughter, son-in-law & granddaughter. House was clean & well stocked. Roads were really rough getting there. Pond was extremely mossy but that's Oklahoma in August so understood. Still able to catch a few perch and a couple of bass. No trashcan in master bath or bedroom. Master bed was really hard but we made do. Loved that they provided poles, especially for granddaughter. Enjoyed cornhole & old school video games. Overall a very good trip. We were able to check in early and stay late which was truly appreciated.
This property has nothing but stellar reviews, and I rely heavily on those when booking a cabin in Broken Bow. We have stayed in Hochatown twice a year for the last 10 years, so we have become accustomed to a certain standard…particularly for cabins that run $1,250 per night. It was filthy and in very poor condition! I made the owner aware while we were there, and sent him 21 pictures that clearly document the moldy patio furniture, exposed wires, dirty broken windows, broken beds and more.
Maybe the cleaning staff just had a bad day, but I also read in the guest book about some of the same complaints I had…apparently they were not resolved. And moldy patio cushions don’t happen overnight.
I have given him 8 days to respond to the issues, but he has not responded to several emails inquiring about a partial refund at the time of this review. If I could post photos I would!
The bathrooms were great and we loved the kayaks though!

Hi Sally – we apologize the cabin did not meet your specific expectations, especially considering we have over 50 five-star reviews the past 3 years. We appreciate all the detailed feedback to help us deliver a consistently outstanding experience for our guests, but we don’t appreciate being threatened with a negative review in exchange for a refund. You were already refunded a significant amount while we further investigated an additional refund, but you had zero patience for us to make good on that promise.
Most of your 21 pictures were knit-picky and exaggerated for effect, knowing this cabin is in the woods and on a pond, that of course lends to the outdoor areas getting dusty/dirty more easily. Your feedback is important nonetheless, so upon your inquiry, we immediately contacted our Cleaners to address each of your concerns. They also shared pictures and feedback from your stay including the following:
• kitchen sink was clogged because dishes were piled up dirty and overflowing
• the kayaks you complimented were missing their paddles for guests who checked in the same day you left
• 6 new bath towels were missing
• new blanket/comforter (first time used) had black stains that couldn’t be removed
Despite all of the above, we still would have worked with you because the customer is always right (usually). We will continue to provide a 5 star experience in our one-of-a-kind cabin and look forward to hosting future guests!
Great cabin with lots of space. My kids (ages 5, 8, 9, 13, 13, and 14) all had something to do. The boys loved to fish in the pond and ride the kayaks. They spent most of the day at the pond. There are tons of board games and coloring books available also. The girls loved the hammocks and having their own room. Bathrooms are huge and the beds are so comfortable. We had a great time and have no complaints!!

Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We’re so happy to hear that everyone had a great time and found plenty to do! It sounds like the kids had a blast with the fishing, kayaking, and all the games. I'm especially glad the girls enjoyed the hammocks and their own space. It’s great to know the cabin worked out for your family, and that you were comfortable throughout your stay.
We’d love to host you all again anytime. Thank you for choosing our cabin for your getaway!
Family of 5 more than enough room! The 3 high bunk bed was a HIT with our kids and the beds were ALL so comfy! Our teenage boys were challenged to high score wins $100 and they were glued :) we will be back SOON!
The cabin was very easy to rent and directions to the cabin were great! I would recommend this cabin and the outdoor activities as top notch! I will be renting this cabin again in the near future. The hospitality was amazing! A lady showed up with extra throws and spices ❤️!!
Had a very restful weekend with my wife in this spacious three-bedroom cabin. Took advantage of the beautiful view from the back deck and did quite a bit of fishing. Would love to go back!
It was a great experience. The home is beautiful and we’ll accommodated. There was a pet dander maybe from a previous guest’s dog but overall it was great.
