Stayed here before and it was nice.
When staying at a VRBO property the check in instructions are sent thru the VRBO platform and my email. I couldn't find our check in instructions on the VRBO platform or my email. Making it very confusing. To be fair the address was sent by VRBO earlier in the week. We knew the address but had difficulty retrieving the check in code to enter. Which delayed our trip. The owner contacted us at 2:00 the day of arrival to tell us she had the heat on a program, and that we could higher it when we arrived. I always receive instructions thru the VRBO platform. We have stayed at over 12 properties in the last six years and have never encountered a problem with checking in before. I didn't realize until later that she sent a text message using my phone to send check in instructions. The text message said ...your code for staying at the Lilly is....I actually thought that text was sent by mistake. As there was no address connected to that text. We had no idea what the Lilly even meant. All in all lack of communication was an issue. In the future I would suggest using the VRBO platform and the customers email to send correspondence in the future. That is how we have retrieved all of our correspondence with checking in at other properties on VRBO.
