Vacation in a historic watermill in the Hunsrück not far from the Moselle

The Schülersmühle is hidden in the Rhineland Palatinate part of the Hunsrück in the romantic Dhrontal, a side valley of the Moselle, not far from Bernkastel-Kues, the Erbeskopf as the highest elevation in Rhineland-Palatinate and directly under the castle at Hunolstein near Morbach.

A building ensemble consisting of 5 semicircular structures that are delimited by the river Dhron on the open side and thus offer a picturesque courtyard to linger.

In the former horse stable and hayloft of the Schülers Mühle, the 85-square-meter coach house restored in 2015 is housed today, which provides excellent accommodation for 2 to 5 people.

Consisting on the ground floor of an open kitchen, on the mezzanine level of a small bedroom with a double bed and a bedroom with a single bed, shower and toilet and on the upper floor of a bedroom with a double bed and integrated bath, panoramic window with a view of the Dhronbach.

The equipment is high quality, but rustic nostalgic and includes underfloor heating, satellite TV, stereo, WiFi, microwave, fully automatic coffee machine, dishwasher, convection oven, ceramic hob and washing machine / dryer combination.

The carriage house can be reached via a separate entrance via a footpath from the parking lot 20 m away and includes a closed area on the area of the school mill, which has no access to private facilities such as. a. the courtyard. Above the access road to the coach house is a 20 sqm south-facing terrace on an exposed hillside, which is exclusively assigned to the coach house and offers plenty of space for sunbathing, relaxing or barbecuing. It is fully equipped with seating, a dining table, parasol, sun loungers and a charcoal grill.

Die Remise ist aussergewöhnlich und liebevoll eingerichtet.Alles ist ausreichend vorhanden, die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet.Die Möbel sind sehr schön, alles ist stimmig,man fühlt sich wohl.Sehr netter Gastgeber, Bitten werden sofort erfüllt.Ein weiteres Plus ist die Terrasse welche mit toller Grillmöglichkeit ausgestattet ist.Alles in Allem sehr zu empfehlen.

Gemütliche Ferienwohnung mitten in der Natur

Wir sind 5 Freundinnen, die gerne 1 Wochenende unter sich sein wollten. Die Ferienwohnung hat so eine wunderschöne Umgebung. Die Terrasse ist toll, dort haben wir die meiste Zeit verbracht. Ansonsten ist die Wohnung top ausgestattet. Es hat an nichts gefehlt. Sehr gemütlich und ein gelungener Aufenthalt. Ich würde wieder dort buchen. Danke!

Schöne und erholsame Tage

Super nette Gastgeber und eine Unterkunft im Nirgendwo, direkt in der Natur. Schöne Wanderwege und gemütliche Stunden vor dem Kamin sind genau das Richtige um runter zu kommen und sich so richtig zu erholen. Wir haben es genossen.

Absolut wunderbar

Sehr individuelle Ferienwohnstätte mit gehobener Ausstattung und feinstem Ambiente, ganz nach meinem Geschmack ! An alles ist gedacht : Zubehör für Grill, hervorragende Kaffemaschine mit frischen Bohnen zur Verfügung ! Und vieles mehr. Lage und Stille absolut perfekt für eine tiefe Verbindung mit Natur, was ich sehr gerne tu. Auch dem Rest der Familie hat es sehr gut gefallen. Der Vermieter ist ausgesprochen zuvorkommend,unkompliziert und jederzeit hilfsbereit. Vielen Dank für diese schöne Zeit !

Einfach schön!

Wir hatten eine wundervolle Zeit: Am prasselnden Kamin - in einer sehr gut und hochwertig eingerichteten Küche - mit einem grossen Tisch der für 4 Personen Käsefondue oder auch 1000 Teile Puzzel sehr gut zu gebrauchen war! Das Schlafzimmer mit dem grossen Fenster bietet einen fantastischen Blick in den Wald, auf den Fluss und in den Sternen-Himmel. Wir haben eine himmlische Ruhe und die unzähligen Wandermöglichkeiten mit Startpunkt "Rund ums Haus" in voller gänze genossen.

Even geweldig verblijf op een prachtige locatie

De historische watermolen is een perfecte locatie om te verblijven als je even helemaal in de natuur wilt zijn. De locatie is een uitstekende uitvalsbasis voor wandelingen in de prachtige natuur van de Hunsrûck. Je komt in deze idyllische omgeving helemaal tot rust. Het huis is comfortabel met prima slaapkamers, sanitair en een fijne keuken. Van alle gemakken voorzien en midden in het bos. We waren hier voor een lang wandelweekend en we hebben het heerlijk gehad.

Ruhig gelegen aber sehr idyllisch eingerichtet

Sehr schöne Ferienwohnung zum Entspannen in ruhiger Lage mitten im Wald doch noch nahe genug an der Zivilisation. Für 4 Personen ideal. Die Wohnküche ist vollständig eingerichtet und bietet alles was man benötigt zum Kochen. TV und Radio gibt es auch wovon wir aber nur den letzteren genutzt haben. Wandern in der Umgebung ging auch trotz des schlechten Wetters.

Absolute Natur in ruhiger idyllischer Lage!

Wir waren für ein Wochenende mit 4 Personen hier. Es liegt mitten im Wald und man bekommt außer dem rauschenden Bach nichts mit. Der vermieter ist sehr nett und verkauft zudem sein selbst gejagtes Wild!

Weg vom Trubel...

Richtig weg vom Schuss, aber mit allem nötigen Komfort und tollem Ambiente. Und viel Natur in der reizvollen Umgebung. Hervorragende Betreuung durch den Vermieter! Ein Sahnehäubchen wäre natürlich, wenn man vom Küchen/Wohnbereich auf den Innenhof des Areals könnte - oder gar am vorbeifliessenden Gewässer angeln könnte! Aber dafür werden gute Alternativen angeboten, wie der eigens neu geschaffene Terrassenbereich allein für die FeWo, und Angelmöglichkeiten an der benachbarten Drohn.

Excellent accommodation if you desire to get away from it all.

Thomas' rental is a great place for rest and relaxation. It is quiet and away from all the hustle and bustle. Love the sound of the running brook in the back and watching all the nature and animals. Thomas was an excellent host and always available. He put allot of thought in creating a very inviting place to stay and every thought was put in making in comfortable. I stayed with myself and my 3 young children and we had everything we needed. It was a great place for me and my girls to get our one on one time. All amenities were available for us to eat in which was a plus due to restaurants not being in close proximity. But if you like to dine out you can reach very good restaurants within 10 minutes. We especially liked the Landhaus in Grafendron which is one of the Thomas' recommendations. We will definitely book with Thomas again.

Liebevoll und stimmig mit sehr nettem Gastgeber

Wir haben 2 sehr schöne Ferienwochen in der Mühle verbracht. Die Einrichtung brachte den Charme der Unterkunft perfekt zur Geltung, ohne dass auf die modernen Hilfsmittel in der Küche, am Grill oder in Bad und WC verzichtet wurde. Es war alles vorhanden, was das Hausfrauen- und Hausmannsherz höher schlagen läßt. Die Mühle liegt etwas versteckt im Tal und man muss bei der Anreise wissen, dass ein Verbotsschild nicht immer ernst zu nehmen ist. Die Unterkunft bot uns als Familie mit Kindern einen perfekten Ausgangspunkt für alle möglichen Ausflüge (Paddeln auf der Mosel, baden, Barfusspfad, Trier, Wasserski fahren, Wildpark, Schifffahrt, wandern, Besuch des Bauernhofcafes in Hunolstein, Burgen, längste Hängeseilbrücke Deutschlands ...). Fern ab vom Straßenlärm störte das Rauschen des Flusses auch nicht unseren Schlaf nach einem langen Tag. Im Gegenteil, es war sehr angenehm. Und bei dem doch sehr nassen Sommer 2016 war es immer eine Freude, wenn nur der Fluss so klang, als ob es regnet. Wir können das Feriendomizil nur wärmstens empfehlen.

Sehr Liebevoll restaurierte Mühlen-Remise direkt am Waldrand

Uns hat der Kuzurlaub in der Remise Schülers Mühle sehr gut gefallen. Ein sehr hilfsbereiter Vermieter, eine mit viel Liebe zum Detail restaurierte Mühle und eine sehr ruhige Lage. Es ist schade dass man die Terasse/Innenhof direkt vor dem Wohnzimmer nicht nutzen kann/darf, aber wir verstehen natürlich die Gründe dafür. Auch wird ja grade eine kleine Terasse gebaut die exklusiv für die Gäste der Remise gedacht ist. Toll wäre auch ein Bad auf dem Flur und nicht nur in den Zimmern, aber wir konnten uns gut arrangieren. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Der perfekte Rückzugsort

Wir haben den Jahreswechsel in der Remise verbracht - fern ab von allem Trubel, mitten in der Natur. Alles ist sehr geschmack- und liebevoll eingerichtet und es ist alles vorhanden, was man benötigt. Die Vermieter sind diskret und höflich und stehen jeder Zeit für Rückfragen bereit. Hinter dem rustikal wirkenden Stil verbirgt sich modernste Technik (WLAN und TV via Satellit, Fußbodenheizung etc.). Perfekt zum Ausspannen geeignet.
