Loved this place and will definitely be back. Loved the mountain views and the porches and being able to star gaze with no light distractions anywhere around and the place was comfortable and just what we needed to explore Fort Davis and Big Bend area!

If you're looking to escape the crowds and enjoy the quiet beauty of the desert and unbelievable night sky viewing, this place is for you. The home is very old but inside has been nicely updated, and the covered porches on all sides were a nice touch. We will definitely stay again if we find ourselves in Fort Davis.

It is perfectly located to explore McDonald Observatory, Marfa, and Big Bend National Park.Maggie, the property manager, was excellent. Perfect house

The four of us loved staying at this house. It was perfect for a gathering place with other family members staying at the state park. The kitchen was well equipped, beautiful property to explore and the fireplace was ideal. We would definitely stay here again if in the area.

Weekend in West Texas for the Observatory

What a great property, great views, and very comfortable. My family and another family of four stayed for the weekend to enjoy Fort Davis and the MacDonald observatory. Highly recommend staying here. Beautiful stars at night very quiet and wonderful fresh air.

Amazing Views

We loved our stay at the Rock House with all of its windows and views. The bedrooms all had their own bathroon, which was great. I would highly recommend this house and look forward to returning.
