If you want a quiet, scenic refuge from the daily grind, look no further. Our stay here was restorative on so many levels. The mountain views from the porch are breathtaking and the house is even better than the listing photographs. It’s clean, it’s spacious and it has all the little special details that matter (from little notes from the owner that are fun to discover, to new appliances to comfortable seating). It’s also literally a very short and scenic drive to the McDonald Observatory and very convenient for exploring Davis Mountains State Park and the nearby Fort Davis National Historic Site. The owner is friendly, quick to respond and attentive to your needs. We will definitely be back!!

Wish I could pick the cozy place up and move onto my property ! Layout of the property is awesome. Kitchen has everything you need. Plenty of hot water and water pressure to fill the Greek tub. Very peaceful overlooking out on the back porch. Will return if we decide to return to Ft Davis.

The house is so comfortable. An abundance of nice towels in both bathrooms. So important to me. The Greek soaking tub was a hit with the grandchildren. Me, too! Such gorgeous views. So peaceful. We saw deer, quail (a pair) and a coyote walking through the tall grass. So convenient to the McDonald Observatory and Mt Davis State Park for hiking and lunch at the Black Bear at the Indian Lodge. We had a wonderful time.

We we're only there overnight, but the location tucked away at the end of the road was amazing and waking up to views of the telescopes on the mountain were unforgettable.

We were very happy with the accommodations. Very close to all the things to visit in the area. Enjoyed having my morning coffee on back porch and the mule deer coming up every morning to see us. Also spotted some javilana one evening. The host was very reachable and helpful.
