About this property

Cottage on Lake Allatoona w/ private dock! Get ready to enjoy tiny living in this cozy 1 bedroom with queen size bed and a full bath on Lake Allatoona. Amenities include a private dock (shared w/ homeowners) in a no-wake cove, 1 pedal boat and 2 standup paddleboards. Outside of fishing or swimming, you can bring your own boat or rent one at the Marina. We are located 7.6 miles from Lakepoint Sports complex, 3.7 miles from Red Top Mountain state park, 3 miles from downtown Acworth and 2 miles from the interstate for quick and easy access to wineries and breweries. Check out our calendar for availability.

The Property: Our Cottage is one of two homes on the property with direct access to a private dock shared by both.

Not what I expected

Do not park in front of place. The owner has a septic tank right in front of the place. If you have a vehicle the size of a F150 or bigger. The only person to park there is you. No guest. You will have to go and pick them up and bring them over. The front door is all glass with a white sheer curtain.. If you don't put something else over the door at night. You will have no privacy The lake is over 200 yards away. The dock is flimsy and there is no place to fish from shore. After your walk throw the owners back yard to the gate. It is all woods and mosquitoes. All the pictures of the cottage is true. Except what is around the cottage. The VRBO what you to wash any kitchen item you use, but there is no dish detergent. The road to the places is very narrow. Colony Rd is so narrow. Only one vehicle can be on it at a time and then people do not like it if you turn around in their yard.

Nice place for a short trip

Overall it was very good. It’s a little small. But I knew that going in we didn’t spend a lot of time there so that’s that. They offer the other amenities but we did not take advantage of them do to the lake levels and it got pretty chilly but it looks like it might be a fun place to go for a weekend in the summer spring or any time just for a quick getaway

ok, but needs improvements

This seems to be a new property built specifically for renting out. It needs some improvements, e.g, curtains on the windows and a bathroom door that closes properly. The tiny house is in front of a residence, presumably the owner. This is not at all clear from the listing.
