Not as advertised
Heads up to any renters, the property was advertised as ski in/out, and come to find out the slope that the home resides on has been closed all season with no opening projected this season. The lift on that slope is broken and they dont plan on fixing anytime soon. The home is about a 7 minute walk up to another slope which wasnt bad, but the reason i rented it was so i wouldnt have to trek to the slopes. Also, i never have had to take photos of a home as a CYA. When i arrived parts were off the hot tub, lights no longer connected on the porch, a very nice telescope was in pieces, the pinball machine had its access door open and was not operational, the list goes on. The hot tub was also not operational dispite the contract stating its serviced before every renter. They were able to fix it quickly, but it meant 2/3 nights it was unusable. The home was nice, spacious and close to the slopes but it fell far short of what it states it provides in the posting.

This house needs some TLC
This house needs some work. Many of the blinds did not work properly. We had to request light bulbs b/c some bulbs in the kitchen and dining room were out and one bdrm downstairs had 2 lamps, neither had bulbs. I had to wash/scrub the large pot in The kitchen because it had cooked on food still in it. There were only 2 mismatched wineglasses. The baseboard heater in the master bdrm did not work. Management brought a heater after we were very cold the first night (no extra blankets). The walk-in shower in the master only had cold water. Thankfully there was another tub/shower in the master bath. And yes, the house was slopeside but that slope was not open and had not been open, maybe for years, so the ski in/ski out description is not correct. Also, my daughter-in-law came home with a skin infection from the hot tub and needed antibiotics from the dermatologist. I don’t know if the property owners don’t want to invest in their property or if the management company is at fault but our stays at Beech Mountain for the last 3 years have not been satisfactory. We plan to take our family to a different ski resort next year.

Run down and dirty
There was dirty linens, mouse droppings, mold, broken window blinds, broken door. One bed had a broken foot that was propped up with a stack of books that continued to fall. Just plain awful experience. Some guests left early
