Thanks for a great rental!
Things that were done well for this rental: communication with owner. Ed was always quick to respond to all of our messages. Well stocked: paper plates, toilet paper, all soaps and shower supplies, coffee pods with powder creamers and sugars, trash bags, tin foil, etc. overall this was one of the most well stocked rentals we have ever stayed at. Comfy beds: The mattress my husband and I had was one of the most comfortable that I’ve slept on when away from home. The house was very clean. The appliances are top notch! Use of the washer/dryer was nice. It seems a bit weird to note but every time I used a towel I made a mental note of how fluffy the towels were! Grocery and restaurants within 15 minutes if needed.
Worth mentioning: 2 coffee pots. One in the main kitchen and one upstairs by the small sink area where there is also a mini fridge. Both pots are Keurig type with the one in the kitchen being the type you can do both single and pot sized brews. There is plenty of outside patio furniture but you may have to wipe the chairs or tables down before using them. The grill looked great but we chose not to use it. There are a few plastic chairs out by the fire pit as well (also out in the elements so likely will need wiped down before using them. The property looks wonderful. There is a trail map but we found it a tad bit confusing and it may help to add some landmarks/details to the photo. Unfortunately we did not explore as much as we wanted as there was a heat wave throughout the entire country during our visit (temp was 100).
A couple of improvements that could be made: Showers. There are three showers and all three are small square type units that one can barely turn around in. If you are coming with small children note that there isn’t a tub for baths. It looks like the owners do try to make improvements and upgrades to their rentals and I would hope that maybe expanding at lease one to a larger tub shower is in the plans for the future. Cooling: it was very hot during our trip. It took from checkin until about 11pm for the air conditioner to cool down the upstairs enough to be comfortable for sleeping.
If you are looking for a good meal out go to the Wentzville Family diner and get just about anything but especially their summer crepe special!
Thanks again Ed for a great stay!
