My wife and I travel a lot and we VRBO several times. This was a really good rental. It had everything that we needed. It was a couple of blocks from the main shopping area but it sits on a quiet street. A great view and a very good air conditioner

Our condo was beautiful! It was luxurious and spacious with stunning ocean views. There was lush tropical foliage that provided privacy and tranquility. So relaxing. We loved the easy walk to 5th Ave with fantastic shopping, restaurants and night life. The staff was outstanding and catered to our every need. Will definitely be back!

We have been lucky enough to stay in this condo multiple times while in Playa del Carmen and are always happy to return! The condo has everything you could need - and the location can’t be beat. El Taj is tucked a couple blocks off of 5th Ave, right on the beach. You can sit on the front - or back - patio and hear the ocean all while being within a 5 minute walk from great food, drinks, shopping - and diving! This condo couldn’t be more convenient for people looking to dive, as dive boats leave from the beach. Having access to the beach and the restaurant/ bar right on the beach and the pool is also a huge perk. As with any beach front property on the Caribbean, sargassum and the beach coming and going are a part of life - and a reminder of how powerful Mother Nature is and how much humans impact our planet. Overall, cannot recommend the condo enough - can’t wait to return!

Very nice and wonderful location

Over all good place to stay- beach was very small but there are a lot of public beach’s within walking distance- our room 341 was very nice but there is a maintenance closet that was on the other side of the wall of our bed and at 8am every morning you could here them getting stuff out and it made it hard to sleep in, other then that is was well worth the money- staff especially the bell boys were great!

Great place to stay! Great if you want to be in walking distance to pretty much anything you would want to do in the city. Beautiful grounds and really nice rooms. Sea weed is an issue just like others said, but within walking distance of beaches that don’t have as much.

Cancun Birthday Vacation

We just had a concern with the property manager charging us twice for breakfast and charging us a cleaning fee for using the hot tub
Stayed 2 nights in Oct 2023
Response from VrboOwner on 13 Nov 2023
I contacted our Property Manager to ask what happened. There is no record of you being charged twice for breakfast, nor was a charge removed for breakfast. Also, although you booked and stayed in 341, you used a private jacuzzi in condo 337 and left towels and garbage on that balcony. There were guests staying in 337 and reported it to the front desk. We then comped the guests in 337 for breakfast to make up for it. Sorry, perhaps you didn't know you could only use the public jacuzzi?

El Taj Beachfront Room

Loved the location of the resort. Walking distance to everything. Quiet place to stay on the water. Bummed about the beach access as a recent storm took out the beach so we had to walk down the street to reconnect so we could walk on the beach. Besides that, room was so clean and had all the amenities we needed. Staff & property owner was so kind. Would totally stay there again. Very safe.

Absolutely fabulous!

I don't usually leave reviews but this place deserves one! The room was gorgeous and had everything we needed and more. Having a washer and dryer in a beachfront room was such a wonderful treat! This room was steps away from the restaurant, pool and beach. The hotel facilities were gorgeously landscaped - a complete jungle paradise! When we return to Playa del Carmen we will definitely be staying here again!

Very nice stay

Beautiful condo in a beautiful building. Nice location near the heart of PDC, many delicious restaurants in walking distance. Sargassum is all over the beaches, but that is not something that any of us can control just something to note if you’re staying in the potential sargassum bloom season. Pool and jacuzzi very nice. Photos and description very accurate. Coffee in condo delicious. All employees friendly, kind, and helpful.

Just lovely

Just like the pictures. Perfect place to celebrate my birthday. Close to 5th ave yet away from the noise. Condo was spectacular. Comfortable beds, kitchen had everything to cook. Cute beach. Loved everything. The one thing that would i would say is seeing the boat's out front all the time. When your swimming you have to pay attention when they are coming in to park. But that was minor. Got use to it. The staff was so helpful. I will definitely book again
