Excellent sunrise views from balcony plus pool view. The beach is wonderful within steps of pool. Snorkeling possible. The unit is adequate to the price point. Taxi was possible and I would come back for the view!
Great property and location, building is older but kept in good shape. The rental process and communication was great. Overall I have no complaints and would definitely stay here again.

Thanks for your nice review Please remember to stay with us if you return to STT
Great place for a couple, awesome sunrise views. The spacious room had plenty of space for us. The kitchen/dinette included a large fridge/freezer with great space for our needs. We made daily use of the pool. Tbe reserved parking was within a few steps of the room.Location
Great view, patio and pool. Insite host to make sure everything is perfect. A great resturant is a very short walk for the best drinks and best Lobster dinner on the island.
Good location. Great communication. Very laid back. Will return

Excellent!!!
Clean, efficient, reasonable and a beautiful view. Great location for exploring st Thomas or catching the ferrys to other islands. Nice pool, friendly people and two fine restaurants for meals or cocktails a short stroll from the door. Rick was a great host. Made sure we had everything we needed and made us feel very welcome. Loved the hummingbirds!

View is great, good location, ok room, kitchen could use updating. For me, Having a car was a necessity to get around the island to see everything and not depend on taxis. Know that there is no beach to sit on at this location, only the pool and then the sea wall. People are friendly. Felt safe.

Theresa did not rent a car in advance and was unable to rent one after arriving. we recommend renting a car in advance if you wish to do island exploring. The public swimming bleach is open and 1 block down the bay in front of Bolongo Bay Resort. Our immediate beachfront and part of Bolongo Bay Resort beachfront is currently undergoing Renovation by the government It should be complete by early fall 2021.
Great water front studio gem in a quiet neighborhood with two restaurants nearby. Excellent pool faces the bay. A combination of three properties allows for safe walks off the main road and two beaches within walking distance (one is primarily a coral beach). two restaurants are within walking distance (5 min). Property managers are very easy to work with. Be advised this is a NO SMOKING unit, but the condo not a smokefree property.
I was happy with the accommodations. Other residents and guests were very friendly - we enjoyed talking with each other at the pool. The weather was good, the sea was warm and clean, the pool was kept nicely. The landlord lived on the grounds and was easy to contact if a need arose. It was easy to get taxis. Many had favorite taxi drivers, but I found that VI taxi was very reasonable and easy to reach by phone. I would definitely go again! (Only downside was the no-see-ums. If you go there, take some skin-so-soft lotion & anti-itch spray. Those who go yearly did tell me the no-see-ums seemed worse this year.)

Unfortunately due to illnes a new maid service was used and she entered the door code incorrectly. Responded to follow-up call within 10 minutes and used back up code for access. A followup call was recieved later in the day saying tht the cable / service was down. Folowup with the cable provider restored TV service but not internet until the next day (service was down complex wide). During this call it was mentioned that they could not find the parking pass. A substitute pass was deliverd that evening. The missing pass had fallen behind the dresser. No other isses were reported. One position/ area (of four)on the stovtop has been replaced with a cutting board / utensel area at a prior tenet sugestion. Unfortunately we were off island (not normal) and could not address the issues personally

New Year's Eve
The owner was very nice. Communication was not always the best, though. When we 1st got there they were unavailable because they were flying back which is OK. He fixed the shower curtain the evening we got there just like he said he would which was good. But So many things were old and outdated (kitchen, pots, rugs in bathroom, the bathroom) and had not really been kept up . WiFi was incredibly spotty - which was hard since I work remotely.
It was generally clean but the towels were stained (old stains).
I have to go back to how nice the owner was because I did not see check out time (my fault) and he allowed us just this one time to stay a little later because our flight was leaving in the evening.
The view was perfect, the area is quiet and fun and the beach is right there - you can't beat the location!

Unfortunately we were traveling back to St Thomas (we live there) the day of check in. Our regular staff was also off island for the holidays and we used a backup cleaning service. It did not work out well. I arrived on island by 7PM that day and resolved all issues.
Our internet did not go down but our public power system did go down twice during their stay which resulted in internet provider outages of several hours. Power on STT is spotty despite the highest rate in the nation.
We had scheduled cleaning / maintenance the afternoon of checkout. When our guest had not checked out by 12 PM we asked when she planned on checking out. She asked to stay until 3:30 PM which we agreed to and rescheduled. We allow late check out if we can but ask to be informed prior to the scheduled check out time.

God's gift of nature and beauty
We had problems from the moment we arrived. We were unable to watch TV only soccer however owner notified groundskeeper who propley came and fixed that problem. Then the AC was not working the owner had replaced the next afternoon. We had no hot water for our entire stay. There was no toilet paper provided and the toilet stop flushing we had to fill the back of the tank with water to flush. Frig was dirty plus a few dishes were also dirty. We were extremely pleased with our view it was breathtaking. The sound of waves crashing all night long was so peaceful and soothing we even recorded this to sleep to when we came back home to rainy Seattle Washington. We didn't like the bright lights shining in our faces from the window closes to the bed. We recommend having a check list for your cleaning crew so things will not be missed. The view and and all the sounds of nature two thumbs up 👍👍

Maintenace issues were promptly addressed and resolved There was a brief complex wide outage of the recycled water system used in the toilet, but it was restored in a few hours. While servicing the tripped hot water heater maintenance noted that the AC was starting (not yet failed) to make fan noise. Both were replaced at my request
Sit on your balcony and be 20' from the ocean! Bolongo is halfway between the big 3 - Charlotte Amalie - Red Hook- main shopping area. Very convenient.
Really enjoyed staying at this property. Beautiful unit with an amazing view and conveniently located. Host had excellent communication and was very helpful.
One of the best vacations my wife and I have ever been on the condominium is exactly as shown in the advertisement room is very clean and a very safe and awesome location is Paradise
Richard is a fantastic host his only concern was if we were having a good time and if there was any issues in the room
The only bad thing I could say is that I had to leave

Very Dirty
When I first arrived at the property I was extremely impressed the view is amazing. The pool is kept clean there’s a wonderful restaurant next-door that delicious and has very friendly staff, but when I went to my room I’m surprised I even stayed. The toilet doesn’t flush the screen door was broken the room smelled very dirty and musty, They were no cleaning supplies for me to tidy up the place. I actually took my sheets and my comforter off and went and washed them before I use them. I also had to put towels and blankets on the furniture before I sat on it, stains and order. Just a quick make up at the apartment would make a tremendous difference. But I can say I sat out on the deck every single day and night watching the waves looking at the view, the view from the balcony is absolutely beautiful.

No notice of any problems was ever given despite personal followup after check in and meeting her husband several times during their stay. No maintence issues were reported or found upon her departure or with the subsequent guests. I am a loss to explain how her comments went unreported for their 14 day stay. Ocasionally the screen door goes off track when forced but is readily reset. No maintence issues were noted by the cleaning staff or subsequent guests. The unit is equiped with dish soap, laundry deturgent, hand sanitizer. shampoo, etc. in addition to normal linnens. A broom, mop and bucket is also in the unit for spills. I shared the review with the cleaning service once I recieved it in January to emphisize the need for through cleaning. Had I an opportunity to see and address any issues during their stay I would have responded.
Great Host and Exceptional View, Right Next to the Water
I think as others have commented, the complex is a bit of an older property. However, the unit was super clean and the view is fantastic - all at a very reasonable price.
We enjoyed the location. You are right next to the water, and you'll fall asleep to the sound of waves breaking. It is located pretty conveniently between Charlotte Amalie and Red Hook - so it was never a far drive anywhere.
(we definitely recommend renting a car if you are comfortable driving on the left - and reserve early. On the island, demand for rental cars is greater than supply)
Rick was a great host, prompt to reply, and we certainly look forward to being back.

Please freshen the pillows and linen ASAP!!!!!
This property can do with a lot of updating. Pillows are disgusting and the only way I could use them was to double case tgem. The pull out couch mattress appeared to have blood in the center and the cushions were disgusting and had to be covered with sheets to sit on. The bathroom photo was NOT reflective of the state of the bathroom. A good coat of paint and AGAIN new linen would go along way. Property is beautiful and will jkept up and the staff are wonderful.

About the host
Hosted by Rick Lawrence
We were semi-retired professionals looking for our little slice of paradise. We found it here, we eat a leisurely breakfast most mornings on our deck overlooking the ocean. We are lulled to sleep each night by the sound of the waves. We have lived on island for over 15 years now and still find it our slice of paradise.
Why they chose this property
We wanted oceanfront property that had easy access to the beach with nothing to restrict our tropical ocean view. The pool and a short green area and then down the stairs and you are on the beach. We are within walking distance to Iggie's, Mim's and the Lobster Grille. We enjoy going over and meeting friends at Iggie's and just walking home along the beach. Each morning I walk the beach to get my local island paper to enjoy with breakfast.
What makes this property unique
We live on island year round with our vacation property located in the same complex as our own personal unit. We love the weather, the flowers, the hummingbirds, the bananaquits, the scenery, the proximity of the pool and beach. We still haven't done it all ! So much to see and do and things changing all the time.
