A beautiful property and perfect for what we needed. Super clean, comfortable and well stocked with implements and necessities. Its location is great. A teensy minor improvement could be made by having the doors fit and latch easily. But having said that it’s a charming historic old home in a wonderful neighborhood. We loved it!

This period cottage was a joy to stay in! It’s a perfect mix between the charm of the old and the ease of modern conveniences. I can’t say enough how this place, the location and the thoughtful touches impacted our visit for the positive. Our communications were seamless and without confusion. Amazing Place

We so enjoyed our stay in this Geneva Cottage, so warm, inviting and a lot of character, perfect for the three of us, the owners thought of every little detail. The location to downtown Geneva was ideal, would highly recommend.

My new favorite place

This property is fantastic! The location could not be better, it's just a few steps from a wide array of restaurants and cute shops. The home has plenty of room and has everything you could possibly need. It is beautifully furnished, the beds were super comfortable and, we were there in December and it was decorated for the holidays. The host was super responsive and the off street parking was a huge plus. Book the cottage, you won't be disappointed!

Amazing heart of Geneva

Every detail is perfect! One of the very best VRBO rentals we have ever stayed it. The pictures don’t do the charm and character of this historical home justice. It is stunning! The location in the heart of Geneva in walking distance to all the shops restaurants and bars cannot be beat. The host was super responsive and even worked with us when we accidentally arrived a bit early. Highly recommend! We will be back for sure.

Lovely in-town cottage, awesome host!!!

We used this cozy cottage for a long reunion weekend. The home is even more charming than the pictures, every detail so well thought out…. so relaxing and comfortable. Best VRBO EVER!!!!

I cannot think of any other place in my 30+ years of travel that has ever left with me a sense of home. This experience was outstanding and in a league of its own. Perfection!

This historical property is lovely! I would call the decor "classy cottage, " which was admired by all who visited during an informal family gathering. There is plenty of room inside and outside. The beds were so comfy! It was also close to shopping in quaint little shops and fabulous restaurants. This will be my go-to place to stay anytime I'm back in Chicago.

Staying in Geneva? Look no further

The cottage is everything as described and more. Excellent location just steps away from the main strip of shops and restaurants. The cottage itself is well decorated and has everything you could possibly imagine to enhance your stay - Netflix/games/coffee/dishes... Walking distance to some nice trails and surrounded by the lovely homes of Geneva. This cottage comes with its historic charm and modern accommodations throughout. Easy process checking in and out! The only thing to note beyond how great the stay was is that because of its close proximity to restaurants and shops there was quite a bit of truck noise of deliveries and trash pickups prior to 7am (perhaps some earplugs if you are a light sleeper). It was a minor inconvenience however not a dealbreaker on how great the stay was. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful stay at the Charming Cottage in Downtown Geneva, IL. The cottage has been tastefully updated that allows for all modern comforts, but maintains the charm of its historic past. It is a place that we wish we had more time to enjoy, but all good things come to end. We will definitely plan on future visit again.The kitchen is a bit tight, but is fully equipped and has everything that chef needs to make wonderful meals, but with so many wonderful restaurants within walking distance, it’s to resist eating out. We loved the dining room, a room where one can have meal with the family with a full view the beautiful surroundings.It was quite and one can relax, but Geneva is quite a charming town. The Fox River Trail offers a scenic walk, or one can rent a bicycle at Mill Race Cyclery and explore more of the beautiful town. Plenty of shops, boutiques, and eateries. You can spend more than a day exploring the town. Kristina was a wonderful hospital host. She made sure that we were comfortable and even reminded us of events such as the Sunday French Market, a farmers market that is one of the best I have ever been too. She even mailed back my son’s favorite hat that we left behind.Of course, there is always Chicago (and Lake Michigan) that is close by. We stopped by Indiana Dunes State Park (There is the adjacent National Park as well) with some beautiful beaches and great amenities. It is an hour and a half away, but definitely worth the trip.

The most perfect stay

We had the BEST stay at this property. I booked this house as a place for my friend and small bridal party to sleepover the night before and get ready for her wedding day. We just adored it. It's light, bright, and gorgeous. Also, the bathroom floors were heated which was such a nice touch on a cold February weekend. (Though the house was also shockingly well-insulated for how old it was so we weren't cold at all!) In addition to being adorably (and functionally!) decorated, it was located within walking distance to everywhere we needed to be. I don't have an ounce of criticism for this house or host. Thank you SO much for making this weekend so special for my friend!!!! :) :) :)
