romantic apartment "Himmelblau": recreation in the historic Mussldomahaus

Centrally located in the historic center of Oberammergau, almost next door to the Church of St. Peter and Paul, is in Lüftlmalereck since 1690 the Mussldomahaus. It is considered the oldest farmhouse Oberammergau and carries on the main façade frescoes of the famous painter Franz Seraph Zwink, called "The Lüftlmaler".

After prolonged vacancy, we have just completed the extensive renovation of the house.

The newly renovated and lovingly furnished apartment with breathtaking mountain views has built, modern, fully equipped kitchenette, a cozy living / dining room with satellite TV, a separate bedroom with double bed and a bathroom with rain shower.

The apartment is suitable for two people.

In the bright rooms you have a wonderful view on the mountain Kofel.

Use of the garden on the south side overlooking the mountains Kofel and Laber is inclusive.

Free Parking is available in front of the house.

The one bedroom apartment, located in the rear of the building on the first floor, can also be shared with the apartment "sun yellow" are posted on the ground floor, so you have a completed holiday home available.

The Mussldomahaus located in the ancient village of Oberammergau. From here recommend taking a walk through the village with its cafes, restaurants and small shops, museums, the swimming pool "Wellenberg" and last but not least the Passion Theatre.

Several supermarkets are located about 1 km, or about 10 minutes, away, as the Oberammergau Bahnhof.

The two local mountains Kofel and Laber, to which you can take numerous walks are within walking distance, also as in winter trails and toboggan hills. The nearest ski areas are within a few minutes by car.

The nearby Garmisch-Partenkirchen attracts the Zugspitze and a beautiful infrastructure.

In a few minutes you reach the famous Ettal Abbey and the Royal Castle Linderhof, to which there are also great hiking trails.

And should you but once move to the big city, Munich is with all its cultural and culinary possibilities at just an hour.

Beautifully decorated apartment a short walk to the town

Overall we really enjoyed staying here. The apartment is beautifully decorated and the bathroom was clean and modern. Our only disappointment was there was no milk provided to go with the provided coffee - a couple of long life capsules would do. The stairs are steep and narrow so lugging a full suitcase up and down was a challenge. Dedicated parking was available right out the front.

We enjoyed our stay here in the ground floor apartment. It was about a 45 minute drive to Neuschwanstein castle, without all the bustle we saw in Fussen. It was close to everything we needed.

Old world charm in Oberammergau.

First, the location can't be beat! Literally in the shadow of the old city church and steps away from all this quaint town offers. The accommodations have been recently restored. All the most modern conveniences and provisions but within the rustic charm of an ancient home. You'll love the squeaky wood floors and antique furnishings as you appreciate wifi and a rainfall shower. The views are breathtaking. We spent three nights here and walked to dinner each night. Walked to get fresh baked goods each morning. We used Oberammergau as a base to explore linderhof, Ettal, and Schwangau. It is easy to find and we would definitely stay again! Cornelia was welcoming and informative. The only drawback was the nearby church bells ringing for mass at 6am on the weekdays!

Alles hat reibungslos geklappt. Habe die Vermietet leider nicht persönlich kennen gelernt aber wurden vorab über alles informiert - sodass keine Fragen offen blieben. Lage ist super zentral in Oberammergau. Restaurants gibt es jede Menge gleich um die Ecke.
