Main road to beach currently closed! Town is open, just use a map app and it will direct you to the house around the road closure. Freestanding tiny house in town, on the creek. Croaking frogs, hooting owls, howling coyotes. Private fenced yard. Walking distance to hiking trails, shops, restaurants, coffee shop, yoga, library, bars. 240 sq ft additional 240 sq ft loft. Nature! Nature! Trees and creek but restaurants and shops accessible. Walk to the most romantic restaurant in Los Angeles "Inn of the Seventh Ray". For pizza across the street, try Living Color". Lastly, if gourmet faire is your thing try Topanga's newest restaurant, "Canyon Bistro". Coffee and a croissant? "Waterlily Cafe" it is. For a fancier breakfast try The Topanga Table. A little hipper vibe then I recommend Topanga Living Cafe. Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays, walk across the street to La Chingona Tacos and sometimes live music. If you are in the mood for vintage shopping we are very near "Hidden Treasures". There is also a library, yoga studio and dance studio. All of these are walking distance from the cabin. 4 miles to the beach!

Theis place felt as though we were camping but with plenty to do within walking distance. The restaurants in the area are all very unique with greats views and delicious food. I would definitely come back and stay here.
You can't "buy" feeling like you just spent 3 days safe, cozy, well nourished and loved at "home" in the Magic of Topanga if you stay at a "hotel." But Boy if you stay here, that is what you walk away feeling like! Truly Magical Spot that is rare it his world to experience! Don't miss it!
This is a great little find, handily placed for quirky and boho Topanga, north to Woodland Hills and city stuff, south to PCH, beaches and Malibu. Right on a babbling creek, humming birds flitting around. Make no mistake, if you like characterless but efficient chain hotels, it's not for you. If you like offbeat, no-nonsense and, frankly, interesting, then it's great value. Check-in great, but we arrived at night and it was a little difficult to find in the dark: by way of guidance, it's 50 yards or so south of the traffic lights in Topanga, on the left, directly opposite a gravel layby.
In walking distance to honestly the best restaurants I've ever experienced in SoCal such as the Inn of the Seventh Ray (can't recommend enough), shopping centers, art galleries, and lots more to be discovered. Jennifer is an amazing host, deeply caring, considerate and I can't thank or recommend her enough. Basically everything about this place is the best. Healing well water, and for someone who lives without these amenities the washer and drier is a colossal blessing. If you'd like to save some gas or Uber fees, this is the spot.
This place is absolutely amazing. You are truly next door to a handful of gourmet restaurants in this tiny little town. They have the best little shops and so many unique items that promote wellness and health and happiness. The cottage is amazing with a fantastic loft bedroom which gives you the best experience. This cottage will make you feel like a kid again. I highly recommend it!!

Fun cozy cabin with a great host. Surrounded by postcard scenery in a small enclave with a retro boho vibe. You can walk to some great State Park hiking trails. Nothing like the sound of a gurgling stream and frogs to lull you to sleep. The upstairs attic sleeping area makes you feel like a kid again. The ladder to access it is fairly steep so you need to be physically capable of doing that which most people will be.

This quiet, gentle place was a perfect retreat between visits to noisy, busy LA. The back yard was great for reading, the sleeping loft a return to childhood's untroubled repose, and the cafe down the road a "bonjour"of warm smiles, coffee and croissants. Our host Jennifer was nearby but unobtrusive until after our departure when she informed us that my husband had left his iPad (!),She kindly agreed to package and return it by mail. Red carpet hospitality!
The place was amazing and the property manager so helpful.
We accidentally booked the wrong dates and they had another visitor coming.
The property manager still let us stay another night and provided the other guest another accommodation that they were happy with.
I highly recommend this peaceful getaway with a beautiful creek and the sound of frogs 🐸
