Wonderful property right on the river. So relaxing sitting in their covered area socializing or just relaxing reading a book and watching the trains go by. Easy walk into town to eat. Had a great vegetarian breakfast at the Cornerstone Cafe.

We have friends and family in Siskiyou County and have stayed In several properties over the years in comparison butterfly Ranch has excellent river access is very fresh Clean and well equipped with all the river cabin charm would definitely stay there again

Great mountain cabin

Cozy cabin nestled in the mountains with a river running out back. The cabin stayed nice and warm. It was homey and well-stocked. Nice and easy scenic walk into town. Wished we could have stayed longer.

Big dose of nature

The indoor/outdoor room was great for being by the river when it is too cold to actually be on the shore. There were several waterfalls and nature hikes near by. House had everything you need to have an enjoyable stay. Owner's were very prompt with their responses to our questions. You can tell they care that their guests enjoy their stay.

Relaxing Getaway

River, fire pit, live train tracks, rustic outhouse and a fully stocked main house. That should set expectations for a relaxing weekend… and the Butterfly Ranch delivered. This was a picturesque setting and we thoroughly enjoyed the amenities and vistas. House had all the amenities we needed - the main gate to the house was a plus with kids playing around on the property and we kept it locked - so that was plus. Dunsmuir is a small town - its close to Mt Shasta for buying supplies, food etc. Mossbrae falls is closby and makes for a fun trek.

Awesome stay!

We loved our stay at the butterfly ranch! We are from Louisiana and were able to give our kids and parents the best white Christmas we could have asked for. House was super cozy and had everything we could have needed. Love the fact that the kids could play outside in the snow and we didnt have to worry about them outside alone (they are 8 & 9). Left a huge snowman for the next guests! :)
