The unit was perfect for our needs. It was spacious, in a great location, check in and out was easy. The only reason I didn’t rate it a 5 was that the kitchen was sparsely stocked. I prefer to cook my own meals and it was missing things I needed. If you don’t plan to make meals it’s a 5!

Very clean unit

The common areas of the complex were a little worn (hallways, staircases, etc.), but the unit we stayed in was clean and ‘homey’. We would stay at this Vrbo again.

Pleasant & Easy process for access. Unit was clean & well decorated. Everything we needed was there. The WiFi network & password I was given would not work but that was no big deal to me. Also the garage door keypad code I could not get to work but again no big deal to me since the remote was there. The light bulbs through the home could be updated for brighter lighting. Overall it was an excellent rental for us. Still 5 star rating from me.

A good location in a nice, growing area of West Des Moines

We were in town for the National Speech and Debate Tournament. Booked because my wife and I needed to work during the days our daughter competed, and didn't want to be stuck in a hotel room. This was a good alternative for us.Upon check-in, the unit we reserved was not clean/ready for occupancy. We were able to quickly reach the owner and he acknowledged a miscommunication with his cleaning service. He offered us another unit in the complex that was almost the same, and a small refund to address the mix-up. We appreciated his prompt attention and ability to find a quick solution.Once we were in the alternative unit, it was nice and suited our needs well. A little bit of a change from what we reserved (we specifically reserved a unit with a desk for work purposes and a first floor walk-out off the patio, and the alternative unit didn't have a desk and had a second floor deck), but a reasonable alternative. Convenient access to a nice area for dining and services. Also really appreciated that we were able to bring our dog (though an additional 199 for a dog fee felt a bit high). All in all, a good first visit to Des Moines with comfortable lodging, mainly because the owner was professional, friendly and helpful, especially when it came to addressing the issue we found upon arrival.
