What a beautiful home. Easily accessible but just far enough away from downtown vibes. The house is decorated beautifully and the views are stunning.

The house was perfect for our yearly book club retreat. Plenty of space for everyone, relaxing vibe, beautiful property. Well stocked and clean. We loved using the fireplaces and walking around the trails.
Gorgeous property and very lovely setting. Very private. Well-equipped kitchen. House is an architectural gem, especially in living room and dining room. Everything went very smoothly. Loved it for six women to reunite years after college.

Hi Polly,
Thank you for taking the time to review Blue Mountain Haven.
We are aware that the oven's interior appearance is a bit tarnished. Sadly one of our very first guests created quite the mess in the oven and despite all of our best cleaning tricks, we have not been able to fully restore the inside of the oven. We can assure you and all future guests that it is very clean and fully functional, just a bit discolored.
Best,

This house is a great size and has a lovely view, however it could have been more clean, particularly the dishes and the kitchen. There were very few cleaning supplies provided so make sure to bring plenty of your own.

Hello!
Thank you so much for staying with us and for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re so glad you enjoyed the space and the lovely view. We also appreciate your notes about the kitchen and dishes—cleanliness is something we take very seriously, and we’ll be giving this closer attention moving forward. While we don’t provide cleaning supplies, each stay includes a Starter Kit with few essentials (like dish soap and pods, toilet paper, etc.). If you find you need a bit more, you’re always welcome to bring or pick up anything additional to make yourself completely comfortable. Your feedback means a lot to us, and we’d love to welcome you back again soon!
We had a fantastic family gathering in this lovely home. It sleeps up to 10 comfortably, which is hard to find. It is on a quiet road in the country. The kitchen is large, has nice appliances and works well for a large family. The most amazing part of this home is the outdoor space and view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. There are several outdoor spaces set up to take in the views. We have already booked it for our next visit to Charlottesville.

Hi, Cheri!
Thrilled to hear the home was a perfect setting for your family gathering! It’s wonderful to know the space, kitchen, and especially the mountain views helped make your stay special. We’re honored you’ve already booked again—we can’t wait to host you on your next visit!
What a beautiful place for 8 adults and a child to reunite for a long weekend! The house is lovely with a great kitchen. The wooded property offers some short trails to wander; ample space for us to gather and spread. Host services were very responsive to a minor plumbing issue too (quickly handled). Thanks so much!
As beautiful as are the photos online, they don't come close to the experience of the house itself. The rooms are even larger than they look online and flow into one another. The architecture and furnishings are graceful and luxurious. The decor is Tibetan and Southeast Asian throughout, and it is evident that the owners have lived there. Above all, the owners appear to have taken care to welcome us as their guests.
A major attraction, outside of the house itself, is the proximity to Shenandoah National Park and the Skyline Drive. The walking was spectacular.
The spaciousness of the house and grounds was perfect for the five of us. There were a couple of small issues: carpenter ants in one of the downstairs bedrooms, and floor heating in the same bedroom made it impossible to stay in that room. I would like to communicate directly with either the property manager or the owner to discuss another matter. Overall, we had a positive experience.

An older property on a winding, gravel road, its remote location is both private and beautiful. The western views of the Blue Ridge Mountains are wonderful, especially at sunset. The owners have decorated the home with a strong Tibetan theme. The kitchen was relatively well equipped, but some of the dishes in the cabinets had not been cleaned. The hot tub was not functioning, and the heating/cooling was challenging to balance between the upper and lower levels.During our visit, the home had issues with stink bugs, which is not uncommon and is difficult to control.Overall, we enjoyed our visit.
2 and 1/2 day retreat with 6 male psychologist friends from C’Ville, one of whom uses a wheelchair.. Wonderful ambience, spacious and private setting. Good accessibility. Great kitchen for cooking.
Highly recommend this property!!
We stayed here with 5 couples and it worked out great. Plenty of room to spread out and also all be together. The house and views were amazing! Very relaxing. We will definitely be coming back.
Spectacular secluded, yet close to town, unique property! Great kitchen for cooking. Everyone in our group enjoyed this spot amid mother nature at her fall finest. Don't hesitate to book this property!
Views were beautiful and the house was very clean. Loved the small touches in the home that make it inviting. Plenty of room for the family and the house has all the amenities! Recommend arriving during the day for the first drive just because roads are a little windy. Drew was great and provided alternate solutions when I thought the dryer wasn’t working. Drew was quick to respond when I had questions. My family made some good memories sitting in the kitchen in the morning drinking coffee and enjoying the views.
