A historic treasure in Southern Maine, very unique and spacious
The Sealander House was built by the City's Mayor in 1926. This historical home is full of old world charm, huge rooms, lots of large windows and drenched in sunlight. It features hardwood floors, a working fireplace, pocket doors, French doors, a huge dining room, 2 full kitchens, 2 gas grills, one on the back porch off the kitchen and one on the 2nd floor deck, a large inviting front porches, a large deck off the 2nd floor kitchen, a covered balcony. Lots of privacy with established gardens and a fire pit. The house sits across the Street from Clifford Park. An amazing home perfect for groups, vacations and celebrations. An easy day trip to Portland. The house is close to numerous beaches, a short drive to many popular tourists spots, 25 minutes from Portland and the University of New England is down the street.
I have a Eufy security system at The Sealander House. The cameras are external. My favorite pics so far have been wildlife.

We loved staying at the Sealander House. It is perfect for an extended family reunion. We found the gathering spaces plentiful and the beds comfortable. Laura is an excellent communicator, quick to respond to our questions and has been very accommodating. We would love to stay again!
Our stay at this house was excellent. There were many beds, and great indoor and outdoor space. Laura was very easy to work with and very responsive to any questions we had. I would definitely stay here again.
The check-in was easy, the host is lovely and responds quickly. The beautiful historic house is huge and with 3 floors, 6 bedrooms, 3 1/2 bathrooms, 2 kitchens and a large deck adjacent to the 2nd floor kitchen, our family of eleven was very comfortable. There is a nice front yard and a large porch for many enjoyable evenings. The house is only a few minutes away from many beaches and the owner has thoughtfully provided all sorts of beach necessities for the guests to borrow.
This property is beautiful, it offered all the amenities and was super clean. Plenty of space for everyone to spread out or sit together and enjoy a meal. Great outdoor space And plenty of parking. Easy location to surrounding towns or downtown for us. It was a great location to our wedding venue. Also a great hostess!
Perfect house for multigenerational family!
The listing is accurately described! Lots of space and separation for everyone to enjoy!
We had a wonderful weekend!
Excellent location for our group - easy ride into Kennebunkport. House was beautiful and well maintained. Any questions etc were addressed in a very timely manner. Definitely recommend this location!!
We had a marvelous time at the Sealander House. There were 2 kitchens, bedrooms were adequately sized, beds were comfy, and plenty of TP and towels for guests. This is my second time renting from this owner (she has another beautiful home nearby), & she was responsive to any issues.
Our family of 12 stayed very comfortably in this huge old home. The dining room accommodated us perfectly. We enjoyed the fire pit and gathering on the front lawn for games and s'mores in the evenings. A good time was had by all, 13-74 years old.
We had a group of around 30 family members and friends to attend my daughter’s baby shower.
The house was perfect, we really enjoyed the spacious dining room and lovely parlors. It was a sunny day so we also were able to enjoy time the upstairs deck and porches. I love all of the trees and bushes, it make the property very private.
We enjoyed our stay at the Sealander House. It was the perfect spot for us to host a bridal shower. The space was open and bright and the second full kitchen was such an amazing help. The porches are gorgeous and the guests appreciated being able to sit outside and enjoy the sunshine. Laura was very responsive and helpful. Thank you!!

Dear Karen, thanks so much. You were an amazing guest. My cleaners showed up and thought there had been mistake. The house was so cleaned after all those guests they didn't even realize anyone had stayed there. They have never seen a house so clean. They've been cleaning my airbnb's for 8 years. You were amazing. I hope you had a wonderful time. I also really appreciate your kind words and review. Thanks for choosing the Sealander House for your event. Happy summer. Laura
We spent several days with family at this lovely Victorian mansion in preparation for a family wedding. The accommodations were quite spacious with plenty of bedrooms, bathrooms and two kitchen areas, providing ample room for all of us (including two youngsters). The kitchen was well stocked and the house very clean. It is an amazing house, with quite a history, close to Saco and across the street from a beautiful park. The owner was super helpful and hospitable. We really enjoyed our stay!

Thanks Phyllis. I'm so happy you enjoyed your stay. You and your group were terrific guests. I'd love to host you again anytime. Happy Spring.
The Sealander House was perfect for a get-away workspace for our non-profit board of directors to hold our retreat. There were plenty of comfortable places for us to gather, work, discuss, and connect. We were all able to have our own beds (all eight of us)! The house is light, bright, huge but still cozy, and ideal for us. In fact, we would love to come back again next year!
We had a great week at the Sealander. Our party of 16 included 9 adults and 6 children ages 18 months to 10 years. There was plenty of space for all. We enjoyed the front porch and yard as well as the living space inside. A/C was great. Plenty of parking for our 5 families. Mature plantings and trees provided privacy. Easy drive to beaches. Would definitely stay again

About the host
Hosted by Laura Plourde Burke
I am a Registered Nurse in Portland, Maine. I moved from Vermont to Maine expecting to stay a year or two. That was 35 years ago. I quickly became addicted to the ocean and living in a seaside town. The lifestyle and people are pretty great too. I love seafood, swimming in the ocean, the smell of the ocean and all the fun that comes with it. I have two grown sons that live locally and bring me a lot of joy.
