Everything was great about the stay. Even though it was October the kids got to use the pool for two days. The hot tub was also enjoyed. Loved the fireplace. Everything was a distance but we knew that was the case. We enjoyed Fort Ticonderoga and going into VT to Rutland and Woodstock. We did the rail ride in Thurman and enjoyed timenin Lake George Village. We were there for Oktoberfest. We also enjoyed the outlets as the last stop before we left the area. It is definitely a place for relaxation and getting away from busy life. We had hoped to see some more wildlife but we were okay with the turkeys and frogs. We got to see some deer crossing the river on the rail ride. I would love to return.
We had a great stay here, the house and property are even nicer in person than in the photos! We were two couples, one toddler, and 2 dogs and the house had everything we needed -comfy beds, well set kitchen, cozy living room, basement with kid toys, pool/hottub, huge backyard. Would definitely recommend to others!
Love, love, love! No doubt we will be back. My husband and I had the most wonderful experience. The hosts have created such a warm, relaxing, cozy, and beautiful home…perfect for a winter getaway. They are communicative and so helpful with anything you need. Their house is situated privately yet, close enough to activities.
We enjoyed a long weekend in the heated pool enjoying our family getaway. The house and property is so inviting and peaceful with many accommodations making you feel right at home! Close enough for a day trip into Lake George. Our family really loves this place.
So quiet! We really enjoyed just relaxing and being together. I would recommend. Very clean and great amenities. Thank you for opening your home! Loved the porch swing, pool, and hot tub.
Absolutely amazing weekend . Jean is a fabulous host . The pictures do not do the property / house justice . We will for sure be back for another trip in the near future.
My family and I stayed for a week. The owners communicated within minutes anytime we had questions. The house was even better than pictured. The kitchen had everything anyone would need. There were many small touches that were appreciated (toys, doll house, games, dog toys etc). The property was beautiful and peaceful. We hope to go back in the future.
This was our first time using vrbo, and it was such a wonderful experience with this home we picked. Being just enough away from cities commotion was the icing on the cake. Jean was a wonderful host and had everything in place that was needed. She checked in and made sure we were all set. It had such a homey vibe, I felt comfortable the minute I walked in. I hope to visit again.

Overall nice, relaxing for a couples retreat.
It was a bit farther to Lake George activity than the 7 miles but still a quant place if you’re looking for a chill relaxing time. We loved the fire place. The hot tub wasn’t the cleanest the filter was full and wasn’t emptied prior to our stay. The sink in kitchen was frustrating when trying to do dishes. The water pressure was very low. I would have brought more towels too because for four adults there were only 4 bath towels. Then three for hot tub. The house was clean and had it fully stocked kitchen for your needs. Beds could have been better. Overall the experience was a good one and we had a very relaxing enjoyable weekend with our friends.
The property is secluded and welcoming. There's a heated pool with a sound system to play music. You can do a fire outside. There's plenty of room for the fur babies to run around. There's a jacuzzi. There's a video game for kids to play or the young at heart. There's a wraparound porch for the fur babies to stay outside. There's a swing for you and a special someone to enjoy the cool air on the porch. If you have a group, there's 3 bedrooms and a nice sized dining room. The owners Jean and Paul are lovely. Great communication. Don't hesitate. Just book it.
The first thing we noticed walking through the front door was how clean the house smelled. Everything in its place. The house is decorated to fit its location. Adirondacks! Several nice touches throughout the house. The kitchen has every appliance you could think of. At least all the ones we needed. The house is very open. Ample space to gather in the kitchen and dining room. But the favored place to gather was in the great room. Many ways to entertain yourself near a beautiful fireplace. The vintage arcade piece was used by many. Jean was most accommodating and available for questions. If you're looking for a place to recharge your batteries, look no further. Great stay, great house and a great owner.

This beautiful home is the quintessence of peace and serenity at its best! The generous space both inside and outside and all the personal touches made this home perfect for me, my husband, our teens and our border collie! Upon arrival, we were just in awe of all the amenities, so much more than we expected! Such a welcoming vibe can be felt throughout this home. The owner was wonderful to communicate with and quick to respond to all my inquiries. Waze took us right to the doorstep, very easy to get to. All paved roads and plenty of parking space! The hot tub and heated pool really made for a great time. The whole set up in the backyard was truly amazing with such a beautiful backdrop of trees. No neighbors - just nature!
Having the 3 bedrooms was perfect for our son and daughter - each got to have their own space! We really spent most of the time together enjoying the backyard and the great room where we enjoyed the games and the widescreen TV. My husband LOVED using the outdoor "dream" grill. He tends to be quite picky about things but said this was his favorite vrbo we ever stayed in. My favorite area was the covered porch equipped with comfortable porch swings, comforting country decor and a beautiful mountain view! It was such a relaxing spot to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning and a glass of wine at night. I don't think this vrbo choice could have been any more perfect for our family! Would ABSOLUTELY stay here again!
Nothing bad to say about this amazing home. My only non 5-star rating is the location. Very rural, wi-fi isn’t great, 30 mins to Walmart, grocery, or a small town for a pizza. If you are looking for a gorgeous home, furnished with the best furniture, beautifully cleaned, beautifully maintained. A pool that was like bath water. And a four person hot tub that was like heaven, this place is for you. Don’t forget it’s pet friendly. Truthfully, this house is built for a large family. So much room to spread out. Huge yard, huge fire pit ready to just drop the match. We use VRBO quite a lot when traveling, this is the best home we’ve ever been at. Highly recommended!
Exceptional, it had all the accommodations for my family and more. We all love the hot tub, very peaceful just what my family needed even my dog enjoyed himself. I would definitely book this place again.
Beautiful home. The pool and hot tub were clean and well maintained. The kitchen was well equipped. The area was quiet and peaceful. We brought all our food with us. Lake George was beautiful. We loved the porch and frog pond. We counted 22 frogs. We would recommend this home . We had no issues.
Such a relaxing stay. Pool was the perfect temperature, hot tub was relaxing, and the daily visits from deer were great. The fenced-in pool area and the front porch with swinging benches were lovely. So much space to enjoy and a well-appointed kitchen. We found a challenging, but fun hike within 20 minutes of the house. We hope to return!
This was an amazing place to stay for our first time in the area. The pool and hot tub were amazing bonuses as well. The pictures of this home do NOT do it justice, this house is gorgeous!
A quick getaway for the family. Very family and dog friendly. It happened to be a few nice cool 72 days so the pool was a bit chilly but the hot tub was very nice!
We had a wonderful time! The hosts provided a lot of firewood so we could enjoy s'mores. The pool with slide was a hit with the kids. The air conditioning was a nice respite from the occasional humidity. And it's always more fun with our furry family along.

About the host
Hosted by Jean Ferguson
My husband and I are empty nesters; I'm a nurse and he is retired. We love visiting and spending time with our children and grand children, and we especially love being able to share our home with families so that they can build memories of their own.
Why they chose this property
We grew up in this area and appreciate it for all of its beauty. Our home is private and offers a peaceful and relaxing getaway for you and your guests. Close to Lake George, The Queen of the American Lakes, and not far from Rutland, Vermont, for those who love to ski and shop. The Fall season is especially beautiful here and there are activities year round.
What makes this property unique
Privacy! Neighbors are not right next door. Our heated pool is open from April through November and the hot tub is open year round. We have a large front porch with swings where you can sit and enjoy the beauty of the surrounding nature. We often get visits from wildlife so be on the lookout! There's no limit to what you can do here - hiking, fishing, swimming, skiing, sledding, snowshoeing - you don't have to go far to have fun.
