The property and the host were amazing. So many hiking opportunities close to the property that's why we went.
Will definitely be back and highly recommend to other renters

Not worth the price
We were expecting a place in the woods near the river. This place is next to a busy road, the yard is small and there was no river in sight. I was constantly worried about my dogs getting out and running into the road. The house was fine but not worth what we paid. We left early.
This cabin was misrepresented in the description and pictures on the Vrbo app. Shame on you for allowing this dirty and disgusting property to allowed in your app.
I wish I could upload all of my pictures to save future guests the trouble of arriving to garbage in the fire pit, the rusty and filthy grill, the moldy deck and steps and the dirty kitchen. Most of all I wish I could allow everyone a deep breath of the disgusting smell that permeated the entire cabin.
I would give this location zero stars if allowed.
Please reconsider your relationship with this host.
We had a good stay there was a small plumbing issue but Tony was all over it and had it fixed before we returned from the lake. We traveled with our two service dogs and one got I'll and had to be rushed to the vet so we did not get to check out properly. Tony was totally understanding and easy to work with. I would recommend this last cation and proprietor.
The cabin was great. Had everything you would need.
Loved the fire pit. Everything was close, caves, boating, swimming, and hiking. Would definitely go back again.
The positives were that the place was clean, nice location, good communication with owner, served its purpose for the week. The opportunities are that an air conditioning unit in the second bedroom would help, there were ants but that's what happens in these kinds of places, the pillows on the beds were not comfortable, the bathroom is very small and the hot water tank is good for about 1 and 1/2 showers before it goes cold.
Locationwise there is a McDonald's and dunkin' donuts about 5 minutes away.
My husband and I stayed for 3 nights and it was perfect for the two of us. It was cozy, clean, and convenient to fish spring marina( like 4 min) , and it’s definitely private.
Only suggestion I have is add some mixing bowls. We cooked our own dinner, but had no bowls to put things in… ( unless I missed it?)
Overall- this is exactly as it looked, we loved it, we will be back. Tony was amazing, answered questions right away..
Thanks for a great stay Tony!

Nice quiet cabin. Cutely decorated. Enjoyed having my own bedroom!!
The property is close by several good hiking trails and the lake. Nearby towns have all you can need and there are 2 wineries about 30 minutes away that we very much enjoyed. Overall a super place at this price point.
The fire/smoke alarm in main bed room had a low battery and was chirping so we disconnected and left on dresser.

Good stay
I was very pleased with Tony (the host) and the cabin. It was clean and comfortable. My only negative is that from the description of the property I expected to be in a more quite remote location close to a lake. However the cabin is right off a major road with a lot of traffic and road noise.
It was a great location in regard to access to State Parks and National Forest.
Cozy country cabin on road to Watauga Lake.
Host is friendly and accommodating. Close to lake and hiking. Near Appalachian trail and Roan Mountain is right down the road. Beautiful countryside! Home is quintessential country cabin - homey and artfully decorated.
Cabin/house was absolutely wonderful!! Super cute and homey. Was beyond perfectly accommodated for my son and I. Also super close to a TON of hiking trails, ziplining, lake activities, etc. I would rent this place again in a heartbeat! With the highway being right under you there is more road noise than what some may expect, but it wasnt anything overwhelming. TOTALLY worth our 9.5 hour drive for vacation!! A HUGE thank you to the host Tony!
It is on a highway but the property is surrounded by trees and greenery that really make it feel so secluded. It allows you to be in the mountains without all the traffic and crowds of a touristy place. There are plenty of nature outings within the general area and we always found new things to do. The house was clean and comfortable and we really enjoyed our stay there!
Quaint private cabin in the trees. I’m a flatlander from MN so all the hills going to a lot of properties was quite interesting. It’s nice and close to the lake, wish there were sidewalks. Ate at southern craft on Watauga lake, best brisket I’ve ever had. The cabin is in a good location, close to a lot of towns and the lake, cozy and comfortable. Loved the deck. Yes you can hear the traffic but it didn’t bother us, we live in the land of 10,000 lakes in MN, how else do you expect people to get to the lake, I had the room closest to the road, I always sleep with a fan on which pretty much drowned out the traffic, mom was in the back room and she said it didn’t bother her. We would definitely stay here again.
Overall it was a nice place to stay, with close access to the lake. The only gripes we had, were, the full bed was kinda stiff and uncomfortable. We ended up sleeping on the twin beds the second night. And we had to fuss with the modem a bit to use the Wifi.
Check in awesome. Adorable, clean, secluded cabin within minutes of activities and supplies.. Several mentions of road noise in reviews. Property owners have done all they can do about this issue. A natural stand of bamboo surrounds the property. Any privacy fencing would feel like a prison. I feel the price reflects the inconvenience. Well stocked.
This was my first time to Tennessee and the house was in the perfect area to enjoy the Cherokee National Forest. The owner of the property was easy to get in contact with if there was any questions.

NOT WHAT IT SEEMED
Property is not private. You can hear the traffic from every room in the house and see every house across the street from the deck and inside windows. Master bedroom bed very uncomfortable and the bed squeaked so we slept in the 2 twin beds in other room. The 1 tv in the entire house was in the living room and was not working until day 2. The sofa was not comfy and there was no where else to sit other than the stools in the kitchen. There were cigarette butts in the ashtrays outside, garbage in the kitchen garbage can and we had to clean the house since we could not tell if it was really cleaned before we arrived. The house is much smaller than the pictures show. The dishwasher was out of order so prepare to hand wash your dishes. I have rented hundreds of properties over the years and I would have to say I would have expected much more for what we paid.
We needed some place close to Elizabethton so we could spend Christmas with our son and his family. This charming little cabin, tucked up on a hill, was cozy, quiet and pet friendly! The cabin was well stocked with everything we needed. There were nice outdoor spaces to enjoy, but the winter weather did not permit. We would book this cabin in Hampton again when we come back to Elizabethton! ☺️
This was an adorable cabin in the TN mountains. Decorated and soooo comfy! Great fire pit, amazing front porch with rockers and a glider. So welcoming. Loved all of it!!!
I'll give it to the owner; the pictures on line were expertly done. The impression is a cabin in the woods and on the lake. Two problems: it's not on a lake and; it fronts Hwy 321. Very misleading. The cabin itself was fine but the location was awful.
