Absolutely Fantastic
Everything was perfect and top of the line. From the interior to the exterior pure perfection. Every, and I mean, every possible need was provided for. The house was tremendously clean, sparkly, shining and smelled fresh. The outside was again outstanding-covered patio, comfortable chairs, mosquito candle, grill, table and chairs for a possible card game. The view of the river, so close, was breath taking. The roar of the river was unbelievable. Our stay was wonderful. We travel a lot as retired folk and I must say, this house/outside was the best of all of our travels. Any question we had was answered immediately. We will return. The hosts were the best ever. They seemed like family. Again our stay was ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC.

Rest and relaxation
We enjoyed close proximity to 3 state parks, where we made day visits and did some easy hikes. Mostly we enjoyed sitting on the deck watching the river and the wildlife. I spent several hours watching a kingfisher hunt- fascinating!

Retreat
Our second annual "Girlfriends Retreat" was wonderful. Everything was as described--it was just as wonderful as last year! Communication with the host was awesome. It's a great place to just hang out, especially when the weather allows sitting on the deck by the river. So peaceful! We'll be back again next year.

We found this wonderful property in 2017 and. spent 6 months renovating it for this opportunity to share its beauty. Come sit by the river and relax. Bring your fly rod !

Why they chose this property

The Doe River in Tennessee is one of the cleanest rivers in the United States. Trout is stocked regularly, both rainbow and brown trout. Doe River is also great bass fishing.
The property is close to Watagua Lake, Laurel Falls and numerous other hiking destinations. Antique shopping close by as well as Bristol Speedway

What makes this property unique

The best part of this home is the river in your back yard. Over 400 ft of river right out your back door. We are located near downtown Elizabethton with restaurants and shopping while very close to nature and very private.
