Private setting with a large deck overlooking hundreds of feet of the Doe River. If you are looking for a romantic getaway with a private setting this is it . One bedroom with king size bed , large bathroom and large great room with kitchen that leads to a large deck that overlooks the Doe River. This is a single unit. It is a second story apartment with 15 steps to enter.Please consider the steps if you have any limited physical restraints .The lower level is a two car garage used for lawn equipment and storage. Large 55" smart tv with wireless internet. It is a new build on a adjacent lot to our original property #7120102. ( may wish to check it out ) These properties share a common very secluded 410 feet of private Doe River shoreline.
Within 25 minutes of the Bristol Motor Speedway, Roan Mountain, Watauga Lake, and the Tweetsie trail. Close to ETSU and Milligan College and centrally located for the famous "Southern Dozen" for the motorcycle enthusiast. Downtown Elizabethton is close by. Private setting but close to shopping.
The Doe River is known for great Trout fishing, especially in the fall. We have 400 ft of river frontage for fishing and or kayaking. The house is located within minutes of the South Holston river as well as the junction of the Watauga and Doe Rivers, one of the best Trout areas in the eastern U.S.
Sit on the large deck and simply enjoy the peace and quiet. Great place to get away and relax. Read a book or stream your favorite movie while enjoying the sound of the rapids just below you. Full kitchen with everything you need. King size bed in master. Gas grill for cooking out on the deck as well as comfy furniture under cover. Towels and linens, pots pans and dishes provided. We also have streaming You tube tv and Netflix and wifi for your enjoyment.

As the pictures depict, the Loft is a second-floor apartment and requires climbing 15 stairs for access. If you are limited physically or stairs are a concern you may want to check out our other property. #2127445 which shares the same river front but is one level and no stairs.

A lovely get away home. The decor is adorable and the little touches make for memorable discoveries. Everything is super clean and restful. The extra thoughtfulness of things like sugar and coffee that first morning and wood for the camp fire are thoughtful! I will recommend this stay to my friends!

Perfect spot for a getaway

My husband and I enjoyed every moment of our 4 night stay. The river running and the quiet property was exactly safe we needed. We will certainly be back. Great communication from beginning to end. We fell in love with The Loft. It was everything the post said it was and more. The river was beautiful and the Loft was too. The hosts were very nice and friendly. Can't wait to have another opportunity to stay there! Wonderful views. Love the area.

Great for a peaceful getaway

I had very invasive surgery a little more than a month ago and between the recovery and having two kids in school, we needed a getaway and we got that at this place. It was peaceful, newly built, had all the amenities and the owners were very accommodating.

The loft and the property were so beautiful. Everything we needed was already there! Comfy and cozy. Only a 25 minute drive from the Bristol Motor Speedway. Perfect little getaway!

Everything matched the pictures in the listing. I didn’t want to leave. Sitting outside on the deck with my eyes closed listening to the stream was the most calm I’ve felt in years. I was on a once in a lifetime trip, but if I do ever come back to Tennessee, I will most definitely look to see if Journey’s End is still available.

Great private location

Beautiful property in a beautiful location. Even though it’s in a neighborhood it was very quiet and private. Beds was perfect and kitchen had all the perks. Porches were my favorite and we spent most of our time there. Highly recommend and we will be back!

Excellent!

We had a great time during our short stay. Sitting by the fire pit at night with the river running by you won't feel like you're in a neighborhood minutes from town at all. Very quiet and peaceful area. Check in/out was a breeze and the hosts were excellent. You would have a hard time finding a better stay for such a low nightly rate in the area. We would gladly stay here again!

Peaceful and relaxing

The house was beautifully decorated with so much attention to detail and spotless clean. The furnishings were comfortable and the atmosphere relaxing. The deck was a favorite spot to relax and enjoy meals while listening to the cadence of the Doe River. A perfect place for a couple to retreat for a few days and refresh. Highly recommend

Great getaway but close to things

This is the place to stay when you want down time, porch time, river time, fishing time, quiet time and most of all a nice place to stay. You do not need to bring anything. They have it all.

The Loft

We were so surprised when we opened the door for the first time. The Loft had every amenities possible, super clean, and the view was amazing. We were able to be in contact with the owners who were very helpful and had a positive outlook. Definitely will be back next year!

Beautiful riverside Loft

The Loft was perfect for us to spend a few days away over the holidays. It was beautifully furnished, had new appliances and kitchen necessities, and included an easy-to-use security system. There was even a river running just 50 feet from the back — waking up to the sound of the river was magical. The hosts were responsive and easy to communicate with, making our stay even easier! Undoubtedly, we will stay there again sometime in the future.

Week on the river

Excellent property. Very clean and modern. We enjoyed a week of relaxation. We were expecting cooler temps but we apparently picked the hottest week of the year. We'll come back and use firepit. We did catch some trout and enjoyed a delicious dinner. Great hosts!

This is a new build. My wife and I had the volunteer fire department practice by burning down are old garage. We then proceeded to rebuild it with a beautiful one bedroom 850 sq ft getaway above it . It took almost a year to complete it as we did all the interior work ourselves. We are very proud of it and hope everyone loves it as much as we do.

The Loft is a unique property that has it all. Private, peaceful and the views are amazing. One can sit out on the deck and relax to the sounds of the river. Or one may grab a fishing pole and possibly catch a trout right off the shore.
