DO NOT STAY HERE!
This place lists A/C but there is no A/C in the living room. We were there during the summer when temperatures went up to 85 degrees. We had to sleep with a small fan that was provided. When we tried to reach out to the owners, no response back. Would definitely suggest looking elsewhere.

Perfect North Yellowstone home base!
What can I say about this VRBO? It was amazing! Incredible view of the mountains, comfortable accommodations, well-stocked kitchen, elk outside every morning and just a 5 minute drive to the North Yellowstone entrance. It was the perfect home base. The town of Gardiner is very welcoming and quaint. Gardiner Market had everything we needed to cook during our stay. We also checked out Wonderland Cafe which was recommended by the hosts and it was spectacular! Would definitely stau here again!

Very nice house and Great Host!
The listing was accurate, and the house was very nice, but the host was the real star! We had to make some changes in our travel plans due to a family emergency and Jess was great to work with. She went way beyond what we expected to give us options and meet our needs.

Yellowstone Adventure
House was in a great location to town and the views were amazing. Every morning and evening we saw elk grazing on the property. One afternoon we came back to house and there was a young elk resting in the entryway. Mama must have left him/her there where it was safe to go eat. So…. We left and came back later. Lol. Restaurants had great food. We had our first elk meatloaf. Tasted good.

About the host

We purchased this build site in 2001 with the dream of building a home where we could start a life as a newly married couple. We moved into our newly built home in November 2002 and have lived in the house full-time since then with our rescued fur babies. Joe and I worked in Yellowstone National Park for the National Park Service since 1997. In 2018, Joe went to work for the Washington Office of the National Park Service. In 2019, I accepted a position with the Forest Service. We have hosted our family and friends from all over the country.

Why they chose this property

This was the perfect location for us given our jobs and love of exploring the outdoors. We also wanted the convenience of living in town and being able to walk or have a short drive to downtown yet wanted to feel like we were in a rural setting. We positioned the home to take advantage of a 180-degree view of the surrounding mountains and enjoy the amazing sunrise and sunsets. We also appreciate sharing our front yard space with deer and elk as well as the occasional bighorn sheep, bison, and bear.

What makes this property unique

One thing we always hear from people is how quiet and amazing the views of the mountain are from inside our home and on our large wrap around deck. Our home is nestled in on a quiet dead-end road a ½ mile from the North Entrance of Yellowstone National Park and downtown Gardiner. We feel lucky to have been able to have built a home in this quaint town. As we put our home on the market, we have made many updates to our home . We have a fully stocked kitchen and many amenities for your convenience. We want you to enjoy our piece of paradise!
