Great place, a bit of a drive up the mountain but we enjoyed the turnouts and the views from there. The house on the creek was awesome and listening to the creek with our morning coffee was super.
Beautiful house in a very peaceful setting next to Bear Creek. We loved soaking our feet in the cold creek after a long day of hiking. The house was exceptionally clean and very comfortable, and the host was very professional and responsive. We will definitely consider staying at this property again!
Such a lovely home. Much larger than what the listing shows. Very peaceful and beautiful. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed exploring the shores and restaurants in Gardiner. And only 15 minutes to YNP entrance. Thank you
The house and location was beautiful and a perfect spot for a family trip to Yellowstone! The only issues we had was there was no AC and the 4 mile mountain road to get there was a washboard rock road that rattled everything most of the way up or down. As for the AC it would’ve been nice if in the description of the property it says no AC and not just not posting that it has AC.
Stayed 4 nights in Jul 2026

As this is the owners’ first season of renting the home after purchasing 10/2025, owner’s plan is to install AC units before next summer for comfort of all guests.
Beautiful property. Be careful driving up the mountain to get there, it’s a gravel washboard road . We thought the house had AC but open windows and the nice breeze comes in to cool the house off ( morning n evening. I guess we didn’t look closely to description but it was ok. It cooled down nicely. Plenty of room for our party.Clean ,family friendly and weather was great . Wish we could’ve had more time to spend there.
Everything was wonderful! It was very comfortable, tastefully decorated and had everything we needed. Jean was always available and had immediate answers for me. We would definitely stay again.
My sister-in-law and I looked at each other with much doubt when we first walked in with our families. To be fair, we had just driven over the mountain in the dark with no cell service surrounded by the area's first snowfall of the season. We were cold, tired and hangry. The bumpy gravel road up the mountain to this house had us wondering if we'd entered the address wrong or if Google Maps was leading us astray. After a trip back into town for a hot meal and to grab a few breakfast items, we all slept soundly in what turned out to be very comfy beds. The next morning we enjoyed making breakfast in the big kitchen and our 3 girls piled up under the cozy blankets each claiming her own couch and happy to have internet service. The house really grew on all of us as we settled in. We filled every bed in the house and everyone commented how comfy they were. There was plenty of space for the seven of us. There was no shortage of hot water, nice linens, and plenty of fluffy towels. We appreciated the tiled entry, the long bench to drop backpacks on and coat hooks at the door. Having a washer and dryer was great. While we were there, the road crew smoothed out the road which helped a lot. On the last day, we ventured out to the creek and realized there was a nice patio. It was too cool for us to use on this trip, but we would have loved to sit and listen to the creek had it been warmer. The host was great at communicating and we would not hesitate to stay here again.
Jean is a fantastic host, communicates promptly and as often as you ask questions and I asked a lot. The property is perfect for a family that needs room for the kids to run around inside and out, yet it also gives multiple privacy areas to have some alone time. Our grandsons had a wonderful time playing with rocks in the creek. The local town is quaint, the grocery store is adequate and fairly priced for where it is. Plenty of rafting opportunities. Restaurants were subpar but we saved money by eating at home. The kitchen has nice things to work with, we were able to cook whatever we wanted. Be patient with the dirt road, you’ll get used to it quickly but wouldn’t suggest arriving at night the first day. We were there when it was warm but if you open the windows at night then close them in the morning it cools the house for the entire day. Please honor the no shoe policy, it makes the house so much cleaner and children can play on all the nice carpets. We stayed here because it was closest to Lamar Valley and we wanted to see animals. We did the grand loop two times, went to the Wolf and Grizzly discovery center and Yellowstone lake on different days, so you can do it all. Pack a lunch and you’ll reduce the trip cost, unless you hit all the gift shops like we did. Bozeman airport is not that far away. Over-all this is a highly recommended property.
Great location close to the north YNP entrance and Gardiner. Super comfortable and great for a big family to relax and enjoy the outdoors. 10/10 would recommend.
We had a wonderful time! Loved the proximity to Yellowstone! Wish we would have had more time to relax at the house with the beautiful setting. We enjoyed the short walk down to the creek, it was so peaceful. Wonderful communication from the owner. Would definitely stay again! Thank you!
We absolutely loved our stay at this serene, welcoming home. Imagine waking up everyday to the sound of the river and in the afternoon having a mule deer walk through the yard while chatting with your daughter on the lower patio. It really doesn't get more ideal, does it? The home is very updated and in our opinion, the pictures do not do it justice! Jean and the housekeeping/ maintenance staff are very responsive and do a wonderful job caring and maintaining the property. In June, the river at the property, isn't the fishing we had hoped, but everything else more than makes up for that small detail! Also, the proximity to Yellowstone and Gardiner makes it so convenient. Would love to return one day!
The cabin was excellent and spacious. Everything was clean. It was located close to the north entrance to Yellowstone which is why we were staying in the area.
