Beautiful home! Just needs a bit of maintenance
We enjoyed our stay in Crested Butte as a group of adults and one baby. The house is beautiful in a wonderful neighborhood. There is some maintenance on the property that needs to take place and would prevent us from staying at this particular property again.
Pros:
- Beautiful views
- Nice walking paths in neighborhood (especially during summer, this would be wonderful)
- Luxury kitchen
- Peaceful neighborhood with kind residents / respectful renters
Cons:
- Property needs a deep cleaning. Upon arrival many dishes and silverware were in the cabinets with food caked on. During our stay we realized this is likely because of the dishwasher, which we had to run multiple cycles just to get orange juice cleaned from a glass.
- The property is in need of a bedding refresh - there are stains on duvet covers and bedding, and some cheap pillows in a couple rooms.
- Overall maintenance: bunk bed ladder bolts are loose / unsafe, there’s mold in the washing machine, there’s no garage clicker / code to pull vehicles in and out without going through the house.
Helpful insight for future renters:
- The property was freezing cold at check in. All thermostats were set to 60 degrees, which is what’s outlined in their checkout instructions. Once we turned these up, after about 8 hours the house was a nice temperature and we had no issues.
- The listing says 2 garage spaces and 2 driveway spaces for parking. However there’s a vehicle in the garage so it’s only 1 garage space.
