IMPORTANT NOTICES:
- There is a $50 pet registration fee.
- A Vacation Rental Agreement will be sent shortly after booking. The rental agreement must be fully completed and executed within 72 hours of booking or 10 days before check-in, whichever is later but prior to check-in. Otherwise the reservation will be canceled without refund.
- The property has a security camera placed at the front porch/parking lot area. The video footage is not shared, is for security purposes only and does not face the home. There are no indoor cameras. There are no cameras facing the hot tub area.
- This property is available for rent by family groups and couples. We do not host stag parties or groups comprised of just young adults under 30 without prior approval. If you are unsure if your group qualifies, please send us a message describing your groups composition.

Other Details:
- On-Call Van. The on-call van service is GREAT! Just call them and they'll arrive in about 5-10 minutes at the end of the driveway and take you to various slopes or Snowshoe Village. Call them from your cell or ask any merchant to call the van for you to be taken back to Montreux. The Van runs from 8am-midnight weekdays and 8am to 2am on Friday and Saturday nights.
- Montreux uses professional cleaning and maintenance services to ensure your stay is exceptional. All linens and towels are professionally sanitized after each guest departure. The hot tub is cleaned and serviced by a professional, trained technician after every stay. A local care-taker is available to address any maintenance issues that arise during your stay.
- Easy Access. Most homes at Snowshoe have steep driveways that can be a challenge even for four-wheel-drive vehicles. At Montreux, the driveway has a modest slope that is maintained by a plowing service. Front-wheel drive vehicles are usually ok, but if we get a big snow, getting anywhere on the mountain will be a challenge without all-wheel drive.

This is a fabulous home for a large group! Big dining room table for meals, lots of bedrooms and bathrooms, and 2 washers and dryers! The shuttle service to take you to the resort makes getting around so easy and the grocery delivery service means you can spend more time on the slopes with your family. Our family of 12 had a blast!

The location is a bit away from what is “going on” but the shuttle made it convenient. House is a little time worn but everything was clean, comfortable and in good working order. 2 kitchen areas and game room, too. I would stay here again.

Christmas snow skiing trip 2022

What an awesome home, we had 11 in our party and still had two unused bedrooms, ample space for everyone, easy access to the ski parks with van service and scuttle service, local restaurants were great! We will continue to use this home when we come to Snowshoe WV! What a blessing it was!

Their was a group of 15 of us and 3 dogs, plenty of bedrooms and 2 kitchens were great. Good idea to bring things like Laundry and dish soap and paper towels. There was some toilet paper but not nearly enough. The stove was not working right at first and propane was out for grill outside but both issues were addressed right away. The upstairs dishwasher was also having an issue but we left the pod dispenser half open and it worked and s part was ordered for that to be fixed. Thankyou John and Nikki for a very enjoyable stay, beautiful place, beautiful views and sunsets and hottub was a hit. Our stay was actually Aug. 10th-17th

Amazing house for big group

14th Annual trip and we are always trying to find the best place that has multiple beds/bedrooms to accommodate 12-15 people. I Can't believe it took this long to find the perfect place. This house is awesome for large groups looking for multiple private beds. Two kitchens, pool table, and hot tub make it a 5 star in my book. Great communications with the owner and amazing views that won't disappoint. Thanks for a great stay!!

Awesome House

This property worked well for us. It was very spacious and the location was great. The hot tub would not get above 75 degrees so we was unable to use it and there was several small things that need to be addressed like some of the bathroom doors would not latch. Overall we had a great time and would recommend this house to anyone.

Summer Mountain Stay

The house was even bigger and roomier than we'd imagined, which was so nice with 6 families including more than a few teenage girls. The view was incredible straight off the balcony or even from the hot tub. Having 2 living rooms was also a treasure for maintaining peace between adults and children. John was incredibly responsive to the one small maintenance call we had (no emergency, just a toilet handle broke) and the maintenance man was there within the hour. Amazing stay, I would highly recommend.

Snowshoe Retreat

We've come back to Snowshoe with another large group, 8 families. This is the second time we have stayed in this house, and I can promise you it won’t be the last. This is a great house for a large group. Plenty of room and supplies in the house. We did have a small issue with a leak on the last day during a crazy rain storm. We let the owner know and he sent maintenance over. We love staying in this house as it is perfect for large groups and kids. We’ll see you again next year!!!

Wonderful stay!

We had about 20 people in this house and it worked very well! It's got plenty of bedrooms to accommodate and a great main floor for everyone to eat in and hang out in. The lower level has a very nice area for the kids so it wasn't always all of us on one floor. It snowed most of the time we were there so we were a little worried about getting out of the sloped driveway but there was a snow shovel and we managed to clear it up enough to get out. The kitchen was one of the better stocked ones we've used. Beds were comfortable. It's a huge house to keep clean but we felt it was very well kept. Very reasonable check out instructions and all around a great stay.

Highly recommend

I got married at snowshoe this past weekend and booked this house to hold my bridal party. The house was very spacious with a lot of amenities including a pool table and bar area. I really loved how many bathrooms the house had. It made everyone feel like they had their own space. Ashley was very quick to respond and checked in on us to make sure we had everything we needed for our stay. Highly recommend!

The house was big enough for my family. It was clean and comfortable. You need to put non skid tape going into the front door because we almost slid down several times. You need a new glass coffee pot in the kitchen. Only the glass pot because it is broken.

Good place, but a lot of trouble

First of all, the place on the listing was amazing, but as soon we get inside we saw a different house,. All the dust inside the house, was looked as not good. The house really needs a renovation, the floors was nasty too. I didn’t like at all, all the wires exposed in room, I was shocked, but anyway,, I did not recommend.

Nice house, beautiful view

Large house with plenty of spaced a beautiful view. Did get a laugh at the master bathroom. Before you rent again I would suggest that you clean the carpet in the lower level. The smell on that level is not pleasant. It has a musty dog smell. We appreciated how quickly you took care of the problem we had with the air conditioner. Our family enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

Great house- but tricky driveway!

We had three families stay together here and overall it was great and the host family was very responsive. The beds are very comfortable. The family room space is tight if you want to hang there with more than about 8 people- we all wanted to hang out together so spreading out among floors wasn’t ideal- but not a deal breaker for the house. This is definitely a rental that is a bit tired, but more reasonably priced than some of the other larger properties. We had a fair bit of snow and below freezing temps and because of that we had to move our cars to Snowshoe resort so that we didn’t get stuck in the driveway. 4 wheel drive wouldn’t have helped on a steep icy driveway- luckily we could use the free shuttle service. Overall, the house was a lot of fun and we all made some great memories and hope to be back.

Disappointed remodel BADLY done

The house had been remodeled. VERY VERY POORLY! The carpet was cut at the door entry baseboards did not match nor reach the floor. holes in the sheet rock. The stove did not work properly the ceiling fan did not work the list is endless Tile not grouted there is an unfinished area on every floor and room in the house.

We love the secluded feel of the house and the majestic view, while having the convenience of being so close to the slopes and the villiage.

What makes this property unique

Chateau Montreux is close enough to the village to enjoy all the benefits of being on the mountain, while still being private and quiet. I've stayed in other properties on the mountain where the houses are packed close together and revelers wake you at night singing in the hot tub next door or talking loudly in the street. Chamonix is secluded and quiet, but everything is so convenient thanks to the on-call shuttle.
