About this property
Mid-Canyon Cabin near Bryce and Zion National Parks
Huge porch for group gatherings to dine or just visit, found in the middle of the Dixie National forest close to Brian Head ski resort and Cedar Breaks.
The Mid-Canyon Cabin is more than just a vacation rental, it truly is your home away from home. We love getting feedback so that we can continue to improve our cabin and experience for our future guests. Our guests arrive pleasantly surprised and leave happy.
The biggest features the Mid-Canyon Cabin has to offer are the stunning mountains and miles of hiking and atv/snowmobiling trails. When you step outside, the air is filled with the aroma of forest pines and mountain air. At night the sky is filled with billions of stars. We know that these gifts from Mother Nature are our best assets, but we are also pleased to offer you a clean, comfortable, fully furnished cabin.
The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, coffee pot, blender, and appliances.
We have a full supply of linens, essentials, and cleaning supplies. We also offer full use of the washer and dryer. We have complimentary shampoo and conditioner. There is a hairdryer available in the upstairs master bathroom.
There is a HD LED TV along with a Roku box, so you can enjoy your favorite shows or free TV channels. There is an HDMI connection hook up for your laptop or DVD player if you bring one along.
Wireless internet is of course included, however cell phone service is spotty on the mountain and surrounding area depending on your provider.
On the upper floor you will find a peaceful retreat in our master bedroom and full bath. Step outside onto your own private balcony with stunning views of the mountain. Here you can enjoy sipping your coffee and relaxing in the comfortable patio loungers. The master bedroom also features a king size bed and plenty of pillows. The second floor also has two bedrooms with queen beds and one full bath.
The cabin is located in a neighborhood. The functional part of the cabin patio is on the North, East, and south sides of the house. On this giant patio you with find a dining table, outdoor fire pit (propane), and barbecue grill.
Google map directions. I highly recommend putting address in your phone gps prior to starting up the canyon because reception can be spotty.

The property was perfect for our family gathering. We loved having 4 bathrooms! The cabin was well equiped and stocked. The owners were wonderful to work with!
The home was clean and inviting. We enjoyed our time in the cabin as much as the variety of activities available in the area.

Geoff and his family took great care of our cabin.
Just review all the other 5-star reviews and know that they are all correct! Best stay in any STR that we have had! We are already looking at dates for our next stay with JR!

Scott and his wife were amazing guests. After they left it looked like they had never been there. They took care of our cabin as if it was their own.
This is our second stay at this property. When we visit the Duck Creek area, this is the ONLY property that we will stay at. This is the best short-term rental that we have ever stayed with! Another perfect stay! 5 Stars all the way!
The cabin was enough room for a family of eight. The host was very informative and answered back quickly. We had a great time there. Defiantly recommend this cabin.
This cabin was perfect for our large, multi-generation family as a base for our park visits. The hosts were very supportive and communication was great.
We had a lovely stay at Mid-Canyon Cabin! JR was incredibly responsive & helpful during our time there. The home was clean, the beds were comfortable & the kitchen was very well appointed. It was one of the quietest places I have ever been & it was absolutely wonderful. The only sounds were squirrels, the occasional bird & our children's delight at the left over snow mounds & the couple inches of fresh snow that we received during our stay! We would definitely come again! Thank you JR & Judy :)
We had great communication with JR from day one. The cabin was perfect for our family to enjoy the snowy days with the comfort of the fireplace and coziness of the cabin. We will definitely be back someday!
Fantastic cabin. Clean with all the amenities you need. Host was very courteous, friendly, and stayed in touch constantly. Would recommend this cabin with a 5 star rating.
We booked this Cabin to get out of the big city and relax. The cabin had everything that was promised. Nice quiet community. Lots of space for the kids to play in the snow. The cabin had everything we need to cook all of our meals and plenty of room for us. The hosts had great communication with us throughout or stay. This included the weekend before with updates about the snowfall and the road conditions. The hosts were able to answer all of our questions in a timely manner.
This vacation rental is a gem. I have stayed in multiple rentals and this one by far has everything you need for a home away from home. Loved the porch, balcony, living room and kitchen was cozy. The location was quiet and close to the Village. Went to Cedar Breaks, Brian Head, Bryce Canyon and Cedar City all within easy distance from here. The weather was amazing for July. Clean and well cared for. Would stay again.💓
Second stay at this amazing property in Duck Creek. Easy to find, comfortable and lots of living areas so that people in our group could hang out together or spend quiet time alone. We come to Utah for the fishing so the downstairs entrance with the 2nd refridgerater is perfect for storing fishing gear, drinks, ice chests and extra clothing. The large upstairs deck is perfect for bbqs, and relaxing after spending a day on the lake. The kitchen features a nice gas store, large refridgerater and every bowl, pot pan and glass you can imagine.
JR is an amazing host that takes pride in making sure his guests have a great stay. Everyone in our group enjoyed the cabin and we all look forward to coming back next year.

Andre and his family are amazing. Always takes fabulous care of the cabin.
Eight of us stayed at the house and loved it. The rooms were large and beds were comfortable. The house was exceptionally well equipped with supplies in the kitchen and elsewhere. We had a small heating problem but JR and his wife had it fixed very quickly. All appliances worked well. The setting in the trees was lovely, and driving to Zion and Bryce was relatively easy. One person would have liked a light so that reading in bed at night could be possible; with the ceiling light, it was not. I even brought our little long-haired chihuahua and he enjoyed the house as well. A fantastic stay... Many thanks! Wish that we could visit again!
I wanted to give the "accuracy of listing" a lower grade because this place EXCEEDED my expectations. Ever since we left New England we had a hard time finding a suitable vacation replacement and the family all agrees: THIS IS IT!
What a wonderful locale. Away from the heat of the valleys. Pines and Ponderosas everywhere. Only 50min to Bryce and 45min to Cedar City. Duck Creek Village is the coolest little town.
So, for the cabin. It's what I would call "modern rustic". All the amenities of home but you still felt like you were away from civilization. Word of warning: Do not wear silk or chiffon in the cabin. The rough-cut wall paneling will grab it like Velcro. But then, who wears silk and chiffon to a mountain cabin? ;)
Outdoors was great with the grill, fire ring, hammocks and THE BED SWING. Another word of warning: if you need to be at a certain place at a certain time, don't go near the Bed Swing. It lures you in: first you'll want just have a seat, then you'll feel like laying down for just a second and then it has you. You'll find yourself waking up a couple of hours later.
The neighborhood is peaceful. HOA rules are in effect and everyone enjoys the calm serenity that flows through the neighborhood like a breeze in the pines. So if you want to be like KISS and rock n roll all night, this is not the place for you.
And last but not least, JR is absolutely the best! He was very attentive to our needs and questions, without being intrusive.
