While the apartment was very nice and in a great location, the communication with the host was unacceptable. I emailed the host 2 days prior that we were arriving by train at 10:30 am, asked for the address and if there was somewhere for us to store our luggage until check-in time. When we arrived, we still hadn't heard anything from host. As you know, you typically don't get the exact address until 24 hours prior to check in, but we were 4.5 hours out. I had to call VRBO and have them reach out to get us the address. We got to the apartment and there was a young man going in and I asked if there was a place to store our luggage, he firmly said no. Upon our departure, I had to ask 3 times if we could store our luggage until 1:00. As were leaving, the same young man came to our door to clean the apartment. The lack of flexibility to leave the luggage while the apartment is getting cleaned is unfathomable to me. On our 14 day tour of a few countries, every other property we stayed in were happy to store our luggage for a few hours. We ended up paying 120 euros to store our luggage for a total of 6 hours on two different days.
