Welcome to the Black River Cottage! Bring your friends and family to enjoy our 3 bedroom and 3.5 bath cottage with a private dock on the Black River. Living is on three levels. Master bedroom has en suite. Bathroom. Entry level is living, dining, kitchen, half bath with deck and electric fireplace. Upstairs is three bedrooms and two full baths. Lower level is radiant heat floors, full bar area with lounge area and TV, full bath, and walk out to 150 foot boat dock.

Hello! We hope you are enjoying the River. Checkout is at 10 a.m. To lock the door, press the lock button on the keypad after you have closed the door. Please do the following before you head out:
1) Strip beds, put sheets, pillowcases and towels in the washer, start bedding cycle. 2) Remove all opened foods (except pantry items). 3) Garbage/recycle go across the street to fenced in enclosure.

Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Dogs must be house trained and, if outside, on a 6 foot leash and under owner control.
No loud parties. Quiet hours start at 10 pm - 7 am during the week and 12pm to 8 am on the weekends.

Our family had an amazing stay! The lhouse was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything we needed. The views were beautiful, the location was perfect, and everyone—from the kids to the adults—had a fantastic time. We made great memories and would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend!

This was a perfect home away from home.We were in Port Huron for the International Antique and Classic Boat Show for a week. The location is great. It’s close to downtown restaurants and the City Marina. It’s right on the Black River very close to one of the best boat ramps we’ve ever seen. Sit out on the balcony or patio and watch boats go by. Take your boat down the Black River to the Saint Clair River and even into Lake Huron. Mike answered questions quickly. The house was immaculate, attractive and comfortable.Definitely a good choice for a stay.

The place was very nice, there was some confusion on the property. There is a fire pit between 2 houses and a small guest house, wasn't sure who the fire pit belonged to or if it was shared, its wasn't explained anywhere. Other than that everything was very nice.

Family reunion

We had a family reunion near by and a number of us like to stay together. We loved the location and being right on the river. The property looked recently constructed/remodeled and was very clean and comfortable.

Friends Trip

Roomy, very clean, updated, nicely decorated & comfortable. Great deck space on 2 floors overlooking Black River. Recommendation: additional kitchen drying towels & another chair or bench for dining table. Five chairs is not enough. Enjoyed our stay.

Fishing Fun w/friends

Immaculate property on the black river. Property has the comforts of home with plenty of space for privacy We especially enjoyed the walk out recreation room so we could enjoy music & grilling while also fishing off the dock. We caught several large catfish & enjoyed pine grove park & blue water bridge. We enjoyed a great hibachi dinner at the Tokyo Grill. This was our 4th year to port Huron & will definitely be back!

Great Home

The house was beautiful and our extended family had a great time staying here. The hosts were extremely thoughtful and considerate as there was a water main break for part of the whole city and the property was located in an area that was under a water boil order. The hosts checked in immediately to let us know what was happening and had plenty of bottled water delivered right before we arrived to last us our stay. Great hospitality and professionalism shown during a difficult situation. Close to downtown Port Huron.

I would not hesitate to use this home again!

We stayed here with extended family. The house was very beautiful and clean, communication was quick when we had questions. We were able to check in early when we asked. Appliances, fixtures amenities were all updated and very nice, a large space for extended family to stay at. Some nice touches like a full refrigerator in the garage, bar area downstairs, convection oven, plenty of bedding/linen for everyone. We did provide feedback to the owner that the air mattress had a leak in it and Terese quickly said that she would have replaced right away had she known, that's on us, but she was helpful and wanting our stay to go well. We would definitely use this home again, highly recommend to anyone!

This property should not be on Vrbo!

I booked this property through Vrbo and got a confirmation. the day we were supposed to check in, I received no lockbox code. I emailed the owner all morning and finally got a response that this property was supposed to be taken off Vrbo as they rent through another site and no longer rent through here. She told me it was already rented out for my dates I had scheduled and paid for. Do not rent through here!
