The Madison cottage was very nice, with a large north facing window. The pool area was beautiful, with nice views. The close proximity to wineries as well as Monticello and Michie Tavern were an added bonus!
Love this slice of heaven! Quiet, peaceful, comfortable and so close to wineries and fun of Charlottesville, yet feels worlds away. Great for a romantic weekend away!
Had a great stay at this cottage and was so taken with the view, the pool and hot tub, and the property at large. I didn't realize there were other cottages available so we had the opportunity to meet some other travelers as well during our stay! the Madison cottage is perfect if you really want to take advantage of the amenities, go out and about in charlottesville with a minimal drive everywhere (less than 15 minutes to anything we did), and have a host willing and able to provide recommendations or to have a chat when he is on site.
A great place to spend a relaxing, quiet weekend. The host was very helpful and responsive, and the cabin and property were beautiful. Highly recommended!
We had a great time in this little historic cottage. The farm and surroundings were beautiful. The hot tub and the salt water pool were nice, clean and very relaxing! The cottage itself is small but it has virtually everything you could ask for. The little full service kitchen area was perfect for 2 people. Steve had everything set up perfectly for our arrival including a nice, chilled bottle of Pinot Grigio in the fridge!I would definitely recommend this property. It is perfect for a couples weekend getaway.
Overall a great stay. The location was perfect and easy to get to wineries, breweries, and many restaurants, but was secluded enough to feel like a vacation.
perfect place to get away to be surrounded by nature and to be lazy by the pool!I had the greatest time, with lots of peace, quiet, and privacy!I'm coming back soon!
Absolute peace and quiet & only 20 minutes from fabulous downtown Charlottesville! Host & staff were phenomenal. I hope you get to meet Casey the Golden Retriever, he loves treats!

Hosting guests is enjoyable. It is so wondefful that we have so many return guests to visit the farm!
Hillary spoiled Casey and they were so nice to talk and interact with during their stay.
Steve was a wonderful host. He was responsive to all my inquiries. The setting is absolutely beautiful. The location is perfectly convenient to do all the things that we wanted to do. We would definitely stay again.
We did not use the hot tub. The weather was wet and chilly. Also the hot tub was several steps from our unit. The cottage was charming; however, it was lacking attention. There was dust in several areas, the silverware in the drawer was dirty, and there were numerous stink bugs (dead and alive) throughout the unit. The cottage was sufficiently appointed, and we appreciated the location and nature that this cottage provides.
