What a great, quick getaway. The cabin is in a very convenient location, was clean and exactly as described. The pre-check-in communication took all the guess work out of the entire process. I highly recommend this property. We will be back for a longer stay!
Great cabin up higher in the woods so quiet while still close to town. Cozy & spacious cabin with a nice kitchen and deck. Liked it so much, we came back again this year!
The property was great and everything worked. Our family was very comfortable and happy.

I loved that you can fit 8 people but for the price I expected something better.
I recommend this place if you want to be close to the town but I think I can find something better for that price point.
Close to town, super comfy bed and great back deck for stargazing. Plenty of room to spread out in the living area for puzzles and games. Fully fenced in yard was perfect for the fur baby.

Thank you for your review Erin, I look forward to hosting you again in the future!
We had a great family weekend. There were plenty of blankets and the kitchen was well-equipped. Downtown and hiking trails are close. The only challenge are a lot of stairs to get in and out of the house. Be prepared.
The cabin was just as adorable in pictures as it was in person. I will definitely be returning and recommending this cabin to friends and family. The host was also very thorough and quick with his responses.

Thank you so much for your wonderful review Betsy!
I absolutely loved this cabin! It had everything you could possibly need and more! It was so relaxing. Beautiful. My whole family loved it and my dogs didn’t want to come home lol. Thank you for being so accommodating! I will definitely be sharing this cabin with my friends and family and I know we will be back to stay! Thank you!!!
Booked this cabin for my family of 4 plus our friends (another family of 4) for a total of 4 adults and 4 children. The host was super attentive and accommodating. The house had everything we needed and the beds and bedding were very comfy! The kitchen was stocked with necessities and there were tons of blankets. It was cozy and cute and we had a great time.
One thing to keep in mind is that two rooms are downstairs with a spiral staircase and there is no bathroom down there. You can access this space from outside though. There are a lot of stairs in the property. Parking isn’t exactly right out front so be prepared to drop off your belongings and then go park in the designated spots.
Overall great cabin and we would definitely book again!!

Idy Hideaway is a cozy cabin close to town and with a big, enclosed, sloped yard, great for dogs and kids. It has 4 bedrooms on its 3 floors, the lowest 2 accessible through a spiral staircase or a patio door, and the one in the enclosed loft area accessible up a narrow staircase in the living room. One bedroom & a fully remodeled bathroom are on the main floor; a tiny room w/ a sink & toilet is upstairs. The cabin has a decent-size deck. We stayed in June but can see how the home might be better to visit in the snowy months. The house can get quite warm on hot days, especially the loft bedroom. The one window a/c unit for the entire house is in the dining/living room area. It's adequate for the common areas but doesn't reach other rooms. Multiple fans are provided to help create a breeze, though, and it helps that the nights are cool. (Do be mindful of the surprisingly low-hanging ceiling fan in the loft bedroom.) Note that the patio is not shaded, and the summer sun sets behind the house, making sitting outside a tad uncomfortable from early afternoon on and casting a strong glare into the kitchen window when prepping dinner. A standard patio umbrella provides some shade but doesn't cover the entire seating area. The yard is spacious, with rustic wooden stairs leading to it. We encountered a few gopher holes in one area of the yard (and an occasional demised gopher). Due to their location, the lower, basement bedrooms may also attract creepy crawly visitors.

Thank you for your thoughtful review and for staying at Idy Hideaway! We’re so glad you enjoyed the cozy cabin, spacious yard, and close-to-town location. The home’s three-level layout gives everyone plenty of space, and while the lower level has its own entry, it’s a full part of the cabin rather than a traditional basement. We also have regular pest control service to help minimize nature’s little visitors, though the mountain forest setting can bring a few surprises. We’d love to welcome you back in the winter when the cabin is especially cozy in the snow!
Highly recommend this vrbo in Idyllwild. Great location and property for our family vacation. We had a mini-family vacation there with three families including two kids under the age of 5, five adults, and one dog. House is cuter in person!

Thank you for your thoughtful review Lily, I’m very happy to hear you enjoyed the house!
We went during the snow in late December, beautiful place, spacious rooms, heater works well on the main floor, but it didn’t appear to make the top bedroom or bottom bedrooms warm. Wood Fire place and tv were really nice, the vent on fireplace was necessary to keep fire going and the smoke out of the house. The house seems like a good fit for families with older children. (Which the owner clearly communicated the need for a gate ahead of time.) The stairs with open rails in the kitchen area leading to the bottom floor had to be blocked off since we had crawling babies with us. The steep stairs going from the street to house also can be challenging in icy / snowy weather with young children. Overall the house had everything we needed and the size definitely made it comfortable for a big group! The older kids had a blast exploring all the spaces in the house. The main area was large enough to accommodate our large family and guests. Communication with the owner was fast, helpful and friendly. We enjoyed our stay at the Idy Hideaway.
We had a great time staying at this cabin. The property manager is very responsive. There is a large fenced yard that is really nice for sledding (no need to go anywhere). The cabin was nicely setup, and the rooms are large. Perfect for our two families of four. Definitely recommend to others.
I love traveling. I’m originally from Greece and I live in Los Angeles with my wife and two kids. The tradition of hospitality is a timeless characteristic of the Greek culture. Staying true to my roots, I’d like to share my home with others, as other hosts have done over the years with me during my travels. I look forward to hosting you!
