A great place to spend time with out of town family! The game room was a huge hit with kids and the living/eating/cooking space was quite nice and comfortable. It truly felt like a home away from home. Tate was quick to respond to messages and easily answered a few of my questions. We would definitely stay here again!
We had a great stay at the Hermantown Hangout. Everything we could need was there and we loved the house. It was a great place to hang out with family members and catch up. Tate was a great host and responsive to any questions that came up.
It was perfect for our family. A little out of town for privacy but close enough to Duluth for exploring the city. Our host was great, very responsive when we asked a question. The place had everything we needed. The kitchen was spacious for cooking, the grill worked great for our needs. The games in the basement kept everyone happy and playing late into the evening. We did not use the outside much because it was chilly and lots of bugs-we expected that. But the outside had everything we would have needed. We really liked the big dining room table so we could play games and cards as a family of 10.Everything was great. We would highly recommend the Hermantown Hangout.
Our Ladies group could not have been more pleased with our Hermantown Hangout accommodation. The online pictures just don't do it justice. When nine ladies agree on something good, your know you've got a winner. The property and house were spacious and meticulous. The decor was wonderful, soothing, and beautiful. The bathrooms were functional, bright, and roomy. The kitchen was very well appointed and cooking meals was easy. The dining room accommodated our group+ easily. The beds and couches were comfortable and plentiful. We had a few neighborhood daytime guests, including elementary school children, and the game room and yard were perfect places for the young ones to 'hangout.' Close to Duluth, it was a perfect place from which to launch our daytrip adventures. You just can't go wrong with this accommodation.
Praises! Praises! Praises!
Seriously a magical place with thoughtful touches throughout!
This was our second time staying at Tate's property. It was just as wonderful as the first! This place has become a family favorite. So many great things! The beds are comfy and there is ample floor space (there are pull out couches in the basement, but we didn't want our younger children that far away). The large walk-in closet in the big bedroom has a window, a ton of open shelves, rods, hooks, and a lot of room--this actually is the most fought over "bedroom" among the kids. The bathrooms are beautifully decorated with good smelling soap. Seriously who ever did the decor at this home is amazing. The living room and dining area are cozy with ample seating. Such a pleasant place to gather! The kitchen is big with plenty of space for multiple cooks. The game room downstairs is always a big hit! The weather was beautiful so we spent a lot of time outside on the back patio eating meals and visiting. The grill worked well and there was plenty of chairs and table space. The gazebo lights were a great touch! They were on a timer too, so thoughtful. The yard and woods were wonderful and my kids enjoyed playing all over while I watched them from the patio. The location overall is so great, just minutes from shopping and downtown Duluth, but enough in the country to feel quiet, peaceful, and private. We seriously felt so rested and happy here. Tate and his wife do an amazing job. We feel so at home there. Our kids were begging to stay! We can't wait to stay for a third time! Magical!
Me and 7 of my buddies rented Tate’s VRBO for the weekend and it was a perfect place for us to hangout and just get together and a big group. Super close to stores and not that far of a drive from Duluth so we were able to do a lot of different things.
A very lovely home. Very clean. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes and about everything else you would need. Nice back yard and very quiet and relaxing place. The host is very easy to contact and he replies back to you fast. I would stay there again. Enjoyed it a lot
