Loud and hot stay
My low rating of the property was only due to no a/c and to close to the airport. We stayed 4 nights in August. We could not leave windows and doors open all night for a breeze due to security concerns for us being on the first floor. Airport is across the highway and planes land and take off from 6a-11p. The walls and ceilings are thin, you would still hear the airplanes if there was a/c and windows closed. Parking was hard to find anytime after 9p. The refrigerator is small and not really suited for extended stays. Great location for using other modes of transportation to great restaurants and venues. The property was clean and host answers emails but only during business hours. No fault to the host, it was more our fault for not researching the area more.

Caveat Emptor (Buyer Beware)
I booked my stay at this property in San Diego, CA on 8/26/2022. I was flying over 1000 miles from Colorado for a 3 day, 2 night stay, from September 30th to October 2nd, to attend a 30 year high school reunion. I do not travel often, this being my first trip in years. This was my first time using VRBO. I also have heart failure. All went as planned with my trip until I tried to gain access to my room. On Friday 9/30/2022, at approximately 4pm local time, I called the number listed in the VRBO ad. I was told by the lady whom answered, that “we have a problem,” and she would call me back. She called me back about 10 minutes later, to say the room had been double booked, and she was sorry. To which I replied, “so now what do I do? I am basically on my feet with no place to go in San Diego.” She adamantly demanded she “had not put me on the street, that it was a computer glitch.” I then told her that her ‘computer glitch’ has basically left me on the street with no place to go. She then told me I was being rude to her and hung up on me. At no time was I rude, raised my voice, or used expletives. She was upset she made a mistake and took it out on me, the customer. She offered no solutions, compassion, or regrets, it seemed. An hour later, I received an email from her saying “We are truly sorry,” perhaps a way to garner a better review than she knew she was going to receive from me. This was only the beginning of my nightmare of 3 days in San Diego. After all was said and done, VRBO got me one night's stay, I had to get a room for another night myself, out of pocket, and spent more time on the phone trying to get rooms, than actually spending time on my trip. The owners really put me in a bind, offered no solutions, and became angry when I pointed out they had made a mistake. A trip that was supposed to be spent reminiscing with old friends, had put a heart failing man on the streets, dragging my luggage around, trying to find a place to lay my head for the night. This may very well be a nice place, but the owners seem sketchy. Beware!!!!
