The house was great, everything was accessible and easy to find. The only complaint is we were told there would be a Brita filter in the fridge for water, but there wasn’t one.

wonderful place to be to disconnect and relax.

clean and neat upon arrival - big plus for me. View is absolutely beautiful. Perfect for unplugging and downloading from everything busy. Plenty of "toys" to enjoy the water right in front of me. Board games and a game room there for those days that are enjoyed inside. Good place to be.

Great place for a girls trip!

The Lake Haus was the perfect place to host our girls weekend! The view from the backyard was gorgeous and we had endless room for yard games! The adventure shed was also a hit in our group. I was also at peace knowing that if it rained, we would have endless entertainment in the game room. Emily also provided great communication throughout the booking process and during our stay. Overall, a great place for a weekend getaway!

Great Place

It was beautiful and well take care of. This was perfect for a group of us girls! And not too far from other fun places! So much fun to do there too, even though we didn’t utilize the activity shed, it was a super nice addition! The game room was a favorite of the group!

Family Vacation 2025

My family had a wonderful time in Door County, and the location of the property was terrific. We were right on the water and took advantage of the kayaks in the adventure shed. The property is also in close proximity to beaches and parks. We only marked the property down a little on cleanliness due to the upkeep of the older part of the house. The bunk room and game room (newer section of house) are in terrific shape and well worth the money spent. The older section of the house, however, with the main bedroom, kitchen, and bonus room could use a little help. Things could definitely be updated a bit to match the price being paid for the house. Also, the description includes "swimming and fishing" from the location (or at least that is how we read it), but honestly the water is so shallow and has such a rocky entrance, it would be difficult to swim at the house. There is a beach 4 minutes down the road, which is awesome, but loading the family in the car to swim is different than being able to swim from your own property. There are also not a lot of large fish that will come up to the property due to the shallow waters, so fishing is best done in other locations, as well.

Comfortable for our family outing

We were quite comfortable at the The Lake Haus. It was very peaceful looking out at the bay from the firepit area and the sunsets from the dock were gorgeous. The game room was a hit with everyone, especially the golf and Tempest arcade games and the electronic dart board. The bunk room was very well laid out and the beds very comfortable. The kitchen and living room/dining area were a bit small for our group of nine, but we made do without too much trouble. This was a nice place to stay for our 3-night get-away. We took many walks around the neighborhood and encountered many friendly smiles and waves along the way. Our stay was peaceful and we enjoyed the accommodations. I would recommend this rental to others for sure. Also, I have to give a shout out to Emily and Bernice for their wonderful communication over the weeks/months leading up to our stay. They answered any question I had and the check-in/check-out process was so easy. Thank you.

Great place to stay!

Wonderful little place, quite spacious actually. There were 6 of us and we were very comfortable. All the outdoor activities you might need. We did have to walk out in the rocks to get into the kayaks fyi cause the lift didn’t work, but it was fine with sandals or water shoes. The game room was a big hit; the kids loved the dart board especially and everything worked. Air conditioning worked, plenty of sleeping space. Top bunks were a bit squeaky because frames are metal but each bed is a queen size I believe so it was fine to stay in the bottom bunks, and my oldest slept in the pull out couch. One of the loveseats even pulls out to a bed, which is nice. There is a separate master that you have to go through to get to the shower, but that wasn’t an issue for us. There’s a half bath right outside which was sufficient since we didn’t have to go through that bedroom to use a toilet. Patio was great, dogs loved it. Area was very quiet. Stove top worked great for cooking eggs, microwave and drip coffee pot worked fine as well. Only have well water, so if that bothers you, bring your own jug or bottled water.

Very spacious, a lot of fun things available to use on site. Relaxed!

The Lake Haus was everything it was advertised as. Spacious house with a great bedroom which accommodated our family and rooms to spare. With 3 grandchildren the game room was a hit. Plenty of rooms to gather or wander off to to relax. Was a great feeling not to worry about towels, toiletries, kitchen utensils, everything provided. Did I mention the was machine and dryer was a godsend. The outside provided wonderful views and sunsets. Plenty of various outdoor play items, bikes, outdoor games, fishing gear, life vests, kayaks. And yes, we caught a lot of fish right off the dock that we could release. Unfortunately the water at the time was a bit low and hard to launch the kayaks. We didn’t mind. The peaceful walks, bike rides, a short ride to a close beach made up for that. For once a very relaxing vacation. We can’t say enough about Emily who helped book our stay. She was in constant communication with us if we had questions. Along with Berenice, thank you both for attending to our needs. What a great place I’m sure in the fall and winter too. Highly recommended the Lake Haus in Sturgeon Bay, Wi. Thank you Little Adventures Vacation Rentals The John & Sara Duzeski Family

While my spouse and I were feeling tremendous anxiety about an upcoming medical procedure the waterfront location, fresh air & our dog's company released a great amount of that anxiety and tension. We spent most of our time next to blazing fires at the fire pit watching amazing sunsets which was ideal for relaxing and enjoying our time there. The online pictures show exactly what you get. Emily and her staff were friendly and helpful with everything we needed. They made our stay that much more enjoyable. However, I counted at least 20 places to sleep on this property. A dorm area that can accommodate 16 sleepers, the master bedroom for 2 and a fold out sofa for 2 more. But only 1 bathroom with a shower/tub. In my opinion 6 people would be the max to stay comfortable. Although there is enough entertainment on the property to keep 20 occupied with a massive game room and tons of outdoor activities provided. So don't disappoint your selves by over booking.

Quick weekend stay with family before school got into full gear. We loved the property. It was a great place to stay with teens and the pup. We enjoyed the arcade room and the fire pit. The bunk room was perfect. I enjoyed having coffee by the lake in the mornings and we could see the door county sunsets from the dock. Only downsides- the area is remote. Which is great if you are looking for peace and quiet, but a bit of a drive to do door county things. Because of the remote location, the yard is very buggy. The owners are very strict about the check-in and checkout times and they are late/early, so it cut the trip shorter.Overall, I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to family and friends.

We couldn't find any.Table in porch room needs the screws tightened. We hope to stay there again next year. It was just wonderful. Thank you so much.!!

Great little spot

We all had a wonderful time, it is in a great location. Perfect place to relax! We had two older teen boys with us and even they had a great time! They lived in the kayaks, they fished from them and also from the dock. We all enjoyed the game room and yard games. The coffee bar was a nice little perk, especially on the chilly mornings. My husband and I took a bike ride around the neighborhood and everyone was so friendly. We would absolutely recommend the Lake Haus!

Disappointed

Wasn’t exactly what we thought it would be that there would be more shoreline to be able to walk on, but it wasn’t. I know can’t control whether but it was horrible. Nothing but rain every single day actually left out two days early. Had a tree come down due to bad storms thank goodness there were neighbors around to help with a chainsaw. Otherwise we wouldn’t have been able to get to the house. The power went out which then caused no water. Shower was a little hard to handle very little water pressure. The master bedroom bed extremely squeaky also ended up having to have a crew come out after power came back on to have the TV at least work in the pouring rain since we couldn’t go outside unable to locate the darts, and the games were a little more for the kids than adults so again just hard and with the water not working was not able to use the bathroom for quite some time which is difficult Just all in all wasn’t really what we expected and like I said hard to determine whether I understand that, but just not for us
