This Hilo ohana is the perfect way to spend the ideal vacation or just a quick getaway.

Good value and location for the price. Facilities were a little dated but it was well maintained and clean. The birds sang very loudly so if you need quiet at night that could be problematic but if you enjoy the sound it is pleasant. I would stay here again.

Our hosts Marie and Greg were very welcoming!We lived walking down to the beach to watch the surfers and the sunrise and views from the crows nest. Beds were comfy, strong hot shower, a sofa and chair for seating plus a table for 3 all indoors. Safe quiet neighborhood close to town.

Greg and Marie were great hosts. We thought the location was excellent and the room was very clean. I especially liked the decor inside and the yard was so well kept. We loved the lookout in the backyard. My husband saw whales every day. The only thing that might put someone off is the very pro Trump flags and lawn signs and a full size blow up of the man by the front door. So be aware if you’re a Dem or from a country that Trump is trying to take over! I did find it a bit stressful.

Friendly hosts who let us pick lemons and limes from the trees in their yard. We felt very safe in the area, quick walk to the beach, and AMAZING sunrise views from the overlook!!! Wish we booked at least 3 nights! It is also a very quick drive in to Hilo. Cannot recommend this place enough!

If I could give Marie & Greg 10 stars, I would. This was our second visit and it was even more outstanding than the first. They make you feel like old friends or treasured family instead of just VRBO guests. The neighborhood is quiet, convenient to everything on the east side of the big island and offers anything you could need for a relaxing visit. We will return again!

This is an ohana studio attached but separate from our home. It does not have an ocean view.

What makes this property unique

Unit is clean and modern with cable modem internet access and cable TV. 3 minute walk to Honolii Black Sand beach. This beach is the best surfing beach in Hilo and has a great beach for relaxing, swimming, reading and sunbathing. Guests are able to use the lanai and observation deck and barbecue. The rental is located on a quiet street where guests can take walks for 20 minutes.
