The home was beautiful, the location wasn’t the best. It’s in a new development of homes being built so there was constant construction across the street. The “bay” you see from the back porch is disgusting and because of that, the bugs were horrible. You couldn’t sit outside for more than 10 min. The house is conveniently located to shops and only 10 min to the beach. However, there is an association pool, but not in walking distance. Our only negative comment I will make about this listing was the cleanliness of the home. We
walked in and the floors were sandy, and you could see dirty foot prints. The bathroom directly near the front door had urine all over the seat and under the seat. I immediately called Nancy to discuss and she seemed in denial of what I was saying. She said she would send the cleaning lady out. We waited for about 2 hours before she showed up, and we were getting ready to eat dinner. She “sanitized” the bathroom after I had already cleaned it. She was in/out in less than 5 min. The mirrors and windows looked like they have not been cleaned in months. They were so cloudy. The baseboards in the home have never been wiped down and last but not least the master bedroom shower on the first floor was repulsive. There was so much soap scum you couldn’t see through the glass. Someone also left a bar of soap (gross). There were crumbs on the kitchen counter. Somehow there was PB on the fridge, which my daughter is highly allergic too. When we looked for cleaning supplies there was only a tub of Lysol wipes. No windex or toilet cleaner etc. Needless to say, I had to spend $40 on cleaning supplies and spent the remainder of our night cleaning this house TOP to bottom. I have pictures to show. We will not be staying again, as I never want to stay in a dirty location. It’s also not close enough to the beach for us or the pool for that matter. Thanks for you “hospitality”. I think it’s wrong I’m being charged a cleaning fee when I had to clean the house myself. I left the home tidy enough to make sure the next people who came in, had a clean place to stay. (Aka the cleaning people had to actually clean)
