Quiet get-away near Acadia NP

Walking distance to Bass Harbor Lighthouse and a 30 min drive to Acadia NP. Great location for those who prefer something more peaceful and less busy than Bar Harbor.

Contentment on the quiet side of the island

This was a lovely place to unwind after a busy day in Acadia/Bar Harbor. The house had absolutely everything we needed for cooking. We really appreciated how neat and organized this kitchen was. The owners were very friendly and helpful when we had a few questions. Overall, it was a wonderful place to stay.

Absolutely amazing!!

The house, location, hosts all were just wonderful for our Acadia adventure. Only a 10 minute walk to Bass Harbor lighthouse, which is wonderful since the parking lot is tiny for that hike. There is a set of stairs to get up to the house. Enjoyed having fires, and a deck to enjoy dinner on. Hosts were as kind as could be and just loved staying with them! Definitely would stay again if we are lucky enough to be able to come back to Acadia.

A Hidden Gem

We loved our stay at Quietside by Lighthouse from the drive there heading into the deeply wooded area, knowing we were just 1/2 mile from the Bass Harbor Lighthouse and the Maine coastline to arriving at Quietside, seeing exactly what was pictured online and entering a beautifully decorated carriage house/cottage with all the amenities of home. Loved everything about it. The hosts were there to great us and were very pleasant and helpful but also left us to be and do what we were there for. We enjoyed coming back to Quietside after long days of hiking and doing all things Acadia/MDI which was so awesome. The perfect setting for a wonderful vacation. Thank you Leif and Gail!!!
