About this property

New Shoreside Cottage! Bring Your Kayak!

This beautiful new waterfront house is currently available for seasonal rentals. It's been built to embrace the beautiful views of Southwest Harbor and the outer islands. Wake up every morning to sensational sunrises and take your coffee out to enjoy the scene on the glassed in second story deck.
Watch the tides come and go right from your comfortably appointed King size master bedroom with flat screen TV/DVD. This house features two large bedrooms, double vanity bathroom, and laundry on the first floor. The second bedroom is a very large "bunk room" with 3 double sized beds, flat screen TV/DVD and an Xbox gaming system. The second floor is open with a beamed ceiling and 3 large ceiling fans, large windows overlooking the harbor, and a beautiful glassed in deck with adirondack syle chairs. The Monson slate kitchen is also on the second floor and includes a dishwasher. A half bath is also on the second floor for ease of entertaining. This house is nicely appointed with local Maine products, and very comfortable furnishings. We've included many books, travel guides, games, and DVD's to make your stay more comfortable. The lawn is nice and large and goes right down to the oceanside with large rocks to sit and watch the comings and goings of the local birds and the marine aspects of the harbor. There's also a shared firepit and adirondack chairs that are shoreside along with an outdoor dining set and gas grill. Kayaks can be launched from this spot during high tide.

This spectacular house is just a 5 minute walk to the village of SWH and all it has to offer! Many fine restaurants, bike shop, ice cream parlor, specialty food store, galleries, shops, tennis courts, and bus station. We have ample parking and are located next to Great Harbor marina where you can book many differednt types of harbor cruises. We are also in close vicinity to Seawall, Bass Harbor Head light, Echo Lake, and Somes sound. This is a unique house and will only be available for a limited time

Hi!
Our family has been summering in Southwest Harbor for over 30 years now, we just love it here! It's my pleasure to provide newcomers with clean, comfortable & convenient homes to explore Mt. Dessert Island and Acadia National Park. We are local business owners and offer seven properties adjacent to our marina right here in the village of SWH. Just give me a shout, I'm always happy to find the best housing and offer suggestions for activities!

Why they chose this property

This house is super cool! It's a bit of an upside down house, the kitchen and living areas are upstairs in order to better optimize the fabulous views including a glassed in deck. The house offers two large, comfortable bedrooms... one master overlooking the harbor with a king-sized bed and a bunk room in the back with three double size beds for the rest of the group. This house is our made in Maine house with local woods and slate kitchen. Very bright and fresh for those preferring open concept homes.

What makes this property unique

Location, location, location! This house in right on the shore and is within a 5 minute walk to area shops and restaurants.
