Fantastic!

What a fantastic property! The hosts were kind and very responsive to questions we had before our arrival, and the home was incredibly clean, with luxury, bespoke details throughout. Plush towels? Yes! Large soaking bathtubs? Yes! Custom kitchen? Yes! Adirondack and mountain styling? Yes! We particularly loved the ski lift chair turned into a porch swing on the large covered front porch - a perfect spot for morning coffee as we watched deer. This house has it all, and in great location. Looking forward to our next trip!

A great place to recharge and meetup with Family

This is our 2nd VRBO experience and Jen and Dave's place was above and beyond expectations- in the little things and the big things! Everything was so clean and homey- they thought of everything! We were even comfortable with our 8mo old granddaughter playing on the floor- (we left our shoes by the door ;)) The antique cash register and crank phone not only added to the charm of our stay, but were used during the family rendition of "Trashin' the Camp" by Phil Collins - along with your pots and pans :) Our only regret? We didn't have more time- on the porch, at the firepit and under the stars... until we meet again! Thank You!

A clean, cozy and comfortable stay

About twice a year my husband’s family gets together for a stay on Loon Lake. He grew up spending summers at his family’s lake cabin, but as the family has grown, we’ve started to look for places nearby to rent to have a bit more room. This was the perfect place to rent and by far the nicest rental we’ve come across near Loon Lake. The house itself was beautifully and lovingly updated and incredibly clean. The kitchen had every amenity you could possibly ask for and was fully stocked with all the little things you could need. This was our first trip back to Loon Lake with our six month old and it truly was such a comfort staying in the house. We had lots of space in the kitchen for all of her bottles and could easily wash and sanitize everything for her. The master bedroom was roomy enough to fit her pack and play at the foot of the bed and still have enough room to get around in the middle of the night without tripping or bumping into furniture. Having the ability to do laundry was a godsend —babies do get messy and it was great being able to stain treat a onesie and clean it before packing back up to go home. Because we are a family of three we only used one wing of the house, but there is plenty of room for larger groups. The main space of the home is light filled with high ceilings so even with a full home you would feel like you had breathing room.! Our stay was lovely. If able we would rent this house for every trip we make upstate.

Great base camp for Adirondack fun

Comfortable, clean and spacious - this was a great base camp for Adirondack day trips. Two highlights: large master suite and wonderful covered front porch with family-sized picnic table which had us eating outside every night. Two things to note: there is no walkable lake access (but you can drive to a public beach with a public boat launch), there is a separate apartment downstairs with a tenant (but the guy was extremely friendly, quiet, and parks on the road).

Great ski weekend

The house and location are beautiful. There was more than enough space for our family of four. Everything in the house is updated and the kitchen is very well equipped. Our kids had a blast playing on the old chairlift in the yard. Easy drive to Gore. The owner David was responsive during check-in, throughout our stay and even followed up after we had left. We are already working on planning our next stay.

Why they chose this property

There’s something magical about the Adirondacks. A sense of tranquility and adventure all rolled into one. When I first visited, I was captivated by its natural beauty: the towering peaks, crystal-clear lakes, and the endless opportunities to explore. It didn’t take long for me to realize that this wasn’t just a place to visit, it was a place I wanted to call home.

As an outdoor enthusiast, the Adirondacks are a dream come true. In the winter, the region transforms into a skier’s paradise. With Gore Mountain just a short drive away, I have access to some of the best skiing and snowboarding trails in the Northeast. The fresh powder and breathtaking views make every run unforgettable.

When the snow melts, the Adirondacks reveal an entirely new side of their beauty. Hiking trails wind through lush forests, leading to serene overlooks and waterfalls that feel like hidden treasures. Stuart Mountain, just minutes from my doorstep, is a family favorite—a hike that’s accessible yet rewarding. Biking enthusiasts will find no shortage of trails either, from challenging mountain paths to scenic routes that wind through quaint towns and along pristine lakes.

Beyond the outdoor activities, the Adirondacks offer a sense of community and charm that’s hard to find elsewhere. The area is dotted with cozy restaurants, unique shops, and cultural gems like the Adirondack Railroad. And for those days when I just want to relax, I love having the option to unwind by the lake, paddle a kayak, or simply enjoy a quiet evening by the fire pit.
The Adirondacks offer a perfect balance of adventure and peace, of small-town charm and big mountain views. It’s a place where I can connect with nature, create lasting memories with my family, and enjoy the simple pleasures of life.

Every time I sit on my porch swing or walk the trail behind my house, I’m reminded why I chose this place.

What makes this property unique

This property is on a quiet street and close to many excellent adventures. Walk to Loon Lake Beach, an 18-minute drive to Gore Mountain and close to dozens of hiking trails. We decorated it in the theme of the Adirondacks. The basement area is a second living area with a cozy couch, leather chair, and second TV. Most people relegate the kids to the basement. In this house, you'll want the adults to be down there as well.
