About this property

Apartment in a listed mill on the Swabian Jura

Our apartments in the idyllic village of Kirchen (Ehingen / Donau) are on the edge of the Swabian Alb biosphere reserve. Whether you are hiking, climbing, exploring caves, canoeing, cycling or mountain biking, flying (kite, paragliding, gliding), swimming, experiencing nature and culture, or simply wanting to unwind, the Swabian Jura will inspire you.

The upper mill was built in 1689 and belonged to the nearby Zwiefalten monastery. Until the Second World War it was used as a grain mill, then as agriculture. The mill wheel was Century replaced by a turbine, the Mühlbach flows in the meantime underground through the property.
The entire ensamble of the building and barn is a listed building, and the house was completely renovated in the 1990s and 2010s. With its massive walls, the building creates the ambience of a country castle.
A false ceiling was installed in the former mill hall, creating living space on two floors. Here are the apartments today. We live in the former miller's apartment.

The holiday apartment "Fräulein Müller" has a large, bright living / dining area with an open kitchen, two bedrooms, bathroom and separate toilet on approx. 85 square meters and is suitable for four people.
The apartment is on the first floor and can be reached via the main staircase with an open spiral staircase.

There are dogs and bees on our property, allergy sufferers should take this into account.

The apartment is only rented as holiday apartments, not as a mechanic's apartment or long-term rental

Wir hatten eine schöne Zeit in der FeWo.Die Wohnung ist einfach toll: groß, sehr sauber, sehr umfangreiche Küchenausstattung, sehr passend eingerichtet. Parkplatz direkt vor der Tür. Außerdem gibt es einen Bücherschrank sowie Kinder- und Jugendbücher und eine große Auswahl an (zT recht anspruchsvollen) Brettspielen.Ein Aldi ist im nächsten Ort (5min entfernt) und weitere Geschäfte in Ehingen (10min entfernt) zu erreichen.Der Gastgeber hat uns freundlich empfangen und gute Tipps gegeben - die Höhlen "Bärenhöhle" und "Nebelhöhle" sind absolut sehenswert! Auch die"Winsener Höhle" können wir empfehlen, die Höhle "Hohe Fels" ist geschichtlich sehr interessant, ohne Führung aber unspektakulär.Gefallen hat uns zudem das Wolfstal (10min entfernt, tolle Schlucht ohne Steigung) und ein Tagesausflug nach Ulm (35min entfernt).Unser Sohn spricht bereits jetzt davon, das wir im nächsten Jahr wiederkommen :)

Große, gemütliche Wohnung

Check-in und Check-out sind super easy und zeitlich ungebunden. Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich und jederzeit erreichbar. Die Wohnung ist sehr groß, gemütlich und bietet alles was man braucht. Es gibt 2 Toiletten (sehr vorteilhaft mit Kindern), verschiedene Spiele und eine voll ausgestattete Küche. Wir waren nun zum zweiten Mal dort und werden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen.

Schöne Ferienwohnung in ruhiger Umgebung

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt in der Ferienwohnung sehr genossen. Die Wohnung ist schön groß und hell, die Küche mit allem notwendigen ausgestattet, Handtücher und Bettwäsche waren vorhanden und alles war sauber. Die Lage ist etwas „ab vom Schuss“, die nächsten Autominuten zu erreichen.

Super Unterkunft für Familien

Die Kinder haben so gut geschlafen wie zuhause. Das spricht schon für sich. Ruhige Lage der Wohnung. Gute Erreichbarkeit von Ehingen. Sehr gute Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter und die Einrichtung der Wohnung lässt keine Wünsche offen. Es ist alles vorhanden was man für einen Aufenthalt braucht.

Schöne Wohnung im historischen Gebäude

Die Wohnung hat uns gut gefallen. - Die angekündigte Wendeltreppe war breit genug und gut zu bewältigen, mit viel Gepäck werden die Arme aber unter Umständen bei der An- und Abreise lang. - Es gab jede Menge schöne Gesellschaftsspiele und auch etliche Bücher, die Küche war ordentlich ausgestattet. - Der Regelkatalog war etwas länglich, sprach aber eher für "Oje, was hatten die denn schon für Gäste?". - Alles war sauber und hell. - Für die Schlafzimmer gab es Innenjalousien, kleine Leute haben hier unter Umständen mit dem Herabziehen Probleme. - Unser Sohn saß gerne in der riesigen Fensternische im Kinderzimmer und las oder hörte Hörspiele. - Für die rückwärtige Seite hätten wir uns Mückengitter an den Fenstern gewünscht, so musste man beim Lüften sehr darauf achten, dass nicht zu viele Stechtiere reinkamen. - Die Lattenroste im Doppelbett ächzten für uns schwerere Leute bei jeder Bewegung, das war etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig.

einfach super

Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen in diesem Objekt. Eine toll eingerichtete geräumige Wohnung in der es sich wohlfühlen lässt. Die Ausstattung war super und es hat an nichts gefehlt. Der einzige Optimierungspunkt ist der Duschvorhang. Aber das ist wirklich jammern auf hohem Niveau. Die Informationen über die Gegend haben diese noch erfahrbare gemacht. Klosteranlagen, die Donau, schöne kleine Städtchen - alles da. Auch an Einkaufsmöglichkeiten hat es nicht gefehlt. Man braucht allerdings ein Auto. Nur zu empfehlen!!

Sehr schöne und sauber Ferienwohnung

Die Ferienwohnung ist sehr schön und große mit zwei kleinen Kindern sehr zu empfehlen. Die Wohnung war sauber und es gibt alles was man benötigt. Es gibt sogar viele Gesellschaftsspiele, auch welche für Kinder. Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Kommunikation war schnell und unkompliziert. Wir sind sehr zu Frieden und kommen gerne wieder.

Fewo liegt in absolut ruhiger Lage. Räumlichkeiten sind sehr großzügig gestaltet und sauber. Vermieter ist sehr nett, freundlich und hilfsbereit. Zum wandern und radfahren liegt die Fewo ideal.

Diese Wohnung verdient in allen Kategorien 5 Sterne. Der Vermieter, Herr Scholz, kümmert sich aufwändig um die Zufriedenheit der Gäste. Sauberkeit und Ruhe werden groß geschrieben. Die Ausstattung ist modern, vollständig und technisch ok. Beispiel: Der Fernseher funktionierte nicht einwandfrei. Sofort wurde ein anderes Gerät installiert und immer wieder nachgefragt, ob jetzt alles in Ordnung ist.

Tolle Wohnung mit Atmosphäre

Die Wohnung ist hervorragend ausgestattet, liegt ruhig, ist durch die dicken Wände auch im Sommer nicht heiß und sehr großzügig für 4 Personen! Die Gegend fand ich interessant, Fahrradfahren sei eine gute Kondition, gute Gangschaltung oder ein E-Bike ans Herz gelegt. Die Vermieter waren trotz einiger Änderungen unsererseits unkompliziert und schlussendlich auch kulant, aks wir deutlich früher abreisen mussten. Klare Empfehlung!!

Geräumige Wohnung in ländlicher Umgebung

Wir haben uns bei Familie Scholz sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Entrée mit der schmiedeeisernen Wendeltreppe, die die ursprüngliche Höhe des Mühleninnenraums erahnen läßt, hat uns sehr beeindruckt. Der Tag war kühl, umsomehr haben wir uns gefreut, daß uns eine über eine moderne Bodenheizung temperierte Wohnung empfangen hat. Uns hat es an nichts gefehlt und wir haben sehr gut geschlafen. Es ist sehr ruhig. Gerne kommen wir wieder.

Wander und Kanuurlaub

die Wohnung ist groß und günstig geschnitten. Küche ist super eingerichtet. Zum großen TV war noch ein Blue-Ray Player vorhanden. Nachts ist es total still, man hört nur das Plätschern eines Baches . Bücher und Spiele genügend vorhanden. Es hängen schöne Bilder, welche man auch käuflich erwerben kann, an den Wänden. Parkplatz direkt vor dem Haus vorhanden.
