Sugar Beach 279 lets you put your TOES IN THE SAND. It's a cozy and peaceful retreat your family can enjoy in a smaller complex. The complex boasts 4 pools (1 is heated in winter months), tennis courts, BBQ grills, picnic tables, kiddie pool, & of course the sugar white sands of the beautiful Gulf Coast. Enjoy a peaceful afternoon at the beach, which is just steps away or lounge by the pool with a cold drink from the seasonal snack/cocktail bar. Kids/adults alike will enjoy a day in the sun. Life is sweet at Sugar Beach!

Once done with your day come back to relax in a beautiful condo updated with new sofas, beds, and furniture. Our open floor plan allows for preparing dinner with guests cozying up to the counter bar or hanging in the living room where the entire family can enjoy each others company. We take pride in a clean unit and strive for guests to want to return time and time again. TOES IN THE SAND is where family memories are made for years to come.

Great vacation

Easy walk to the beach for the little ones. Good layout with ample televisions to keep everyone happy at night to wind down. We enjoyed our stayed would definitely book this spot again.

Great spot

although the condo Sq. Footage is small, it is a perfect getaway spot for a few days. nicely decorated, very clean, and the host is awesome. One other thing I will is that the bedding far exceeded what I have experience in other rental units

We love the location! It had 3 pools the girls loved. It was clean and decorated cute! The owner Ms Sharon was A great hostess’s. Quick to response to your questions. It was a great experience!. I recommend this condo.

Excellent beach stay

Toes in the Sand worked perfectly for the four of us. The condo is clean and well suited for a beach vacation base of operations. Access to the beach was easy, grills were useful, and the drinks and food from the on site concession were very good AND reasonably priced. Sharon was very accommodating and very responsive. Five stars!

Things we liked. The owner was great to work with and very quick to reply. Plus the unit was 2 bed 2 bath. Both beds were comfortable. Sofa bed. Plenty of seating with couch, love seat, table and chairs, plus barstools. Decor in living area. Multiple tvs. Amenities at the complex were nice with 4 pools and snack shack. Cons. There were a few items that we followed up with the owner about. There were a couple house keeping items that we made the owner aware of that the cleaners needed to correct. Then the guest bath toilet ran the whole time. Then some things that were just not for us. Im not the average size guy, so the unit overall felt very small and tight. We made it work, but the master bath and kitchen are extremely tight, especially for someone my size. We have stayed in similar sized condos before, and felt to have more space. Lastly, we weren’t a fan of the location of the unit, in the complex. It is an end unit on the highway end. So there was a lot of road noise. So nothing wrong with the unit itself, it just wasn’t for my family, but would still recommend it to others.

Cute condo near the beach, but very noisy

This condo is every bit as cute as the pictures! Clean and comfortable. It is a one minute walk down the resort hallway to the beach. It is on a main road so you have quick access to shops and restaurants. There is also a state park a couple of minutes down the road where you can rent bikes and ride through the trails there. The downside is the noise and the view. There is a 6 story garage being built right next to this resort and the balcony looks directly at it, close enough I could throw a can into their work dumpster. So, sounds of hammering, sawing, trucks backing up etc start at the break of dawn. There was no way to have a relaxing breakfast on the balcony in the mornings or drinks and conversation in the evenings. Any natural light from the double sliding doors gives you a view of construction workers and cement trucks so there is no privacy with the curtains open. This unit is on the street end of the resort so you also have the steady sound of traffic. We know getting to go on a vacation is a privilege and really did have a wonderful time. We just hoped our experience had looked and sounded more like the beach and less like the city.
