Slice of Paradise is a bright, mid-century modern home on a wide, calm canal in a quiet residential neighborhood of Oakland Park. It sleeps six comfortably across three real bedrooms, and everything you need for a relaxed week is already here. No resort fees, no surprise charges.

THE BACKYARD A large paved patio surrounds the heated pool (kept at 89° from November through April) with loungers for the whole group. Walk down to the floating dock and take out the paddleboard, single kayak, or three-person kayak. Life jackets are provided for all ages. There is an outdoor shower for rinsing off, a gas BBQ grill, alfresco dining, and a shaded meditation garden with a small waterfall and lush landscaping that draws butterflies. Sunsets over the water are the nightly show.

THE HOUSE Three bedrooms with premium linens and smart TVs:

Bedroom 3: Double bed, ideal for kids or a third couple Two full bathrooms. A well-equipped chef's kitchen with dishwasher, blender, coffee maker, and everything for cooking real meals. A large wooden dining table for eight. Two separate living rooms, including a 70" TV in the main room, so parents and kids can each have their own space. Fast Wi-Fi, a laptop-friendly workspace, and board games for rainy afternoons. In-unit washer and dryer. Central A/C plus ceiling fans.

FOR FAMILIES Travel crib, children's dinnerware, room-darkening shades, and a single-level layout with no stairs. The pool is fenced by the home and patio; life jackets are on hand. Well-behaved dogs and cats are welcome (under 20 lbs, up to two).

YOUR PRIVACY You have the entire home and grounds to yourselves. A separate owner's studio sits on the property with its own exterior entrance and is never accessed through your space. We are a phone call away for recommendations or anything you need, and we only enter the main home in an emergency, always with advance notice.

A FEW HOUSE NOTES Check-in 4 PM, check-out 11 AM. Early check-in or late check-out can be arranged for a fee when the calendar allows. This is a peaceful residential street: no parties or events, quiet hours after 10 PM. Minimum booking age 25.
