Great host and accommodations with central location to everywhere!
Great house, well appointed and very comfortable. It was a perfect "home away from home"! It was so clean and everything to make our stay enjoyable. Melanie is a wonderful host. I highly recommend this home!
This home was such a wonderful stay for us all. The condition was more than excellent and the Owner-Melanie left wonderful tips for surrounding sites to visit and welcomed us warmly. This all just made our stay in Tacoma all that much more of a pleasure. Our heartfelt thanks Melanie for sharing such a beautiful home.
Our stay couldn’t have been better. A great house for extended family getting together for a few days. This heritage house was everything we needed and more! Excellent communication too. Thanks so much.
We absolutely loved staying in this home. Very well stocked and comfortable. The host, Melanie, went above and beyond to meet our needs. The back patio is the perfect summer evening hangout spot. Thank you for sharing your home with us!
Champagne, house warming gifts, convenient neighborhood. Both Melanie and Bill went out of their way to make sure our stay was terrific. We can’t wait to go back!
Hand rails along front and rear steps
Hand rails along stairs to 2nd floor
Grab bars in 2nd floor and basement shower. Otherwise, it was comfortable and well stocked with everything we needed.
We had a wonderful stay! The dog enjoyed the backyard, and my husband and I enjoyed the rest of the house. The house was stocked with everything we needed; the kitchen was especially well stocked and ready for any kind of dinner we planned. The location was convenient to very good restaurants and take-out places. The Host communicated with very well; check in was seamless.
Home is spacious, clean and in a great location. Melanie (owner) is awesome to work with. 2 levels of living a third for bedrooms and a bathroom on each floor.
Love it!
This home is centrally located in Tacoma, minutes from downtown, easy access to I5 and close to shopping. The house is well maintained with all of the essentials needed for a comfortable stay. The host is very responsive and provided pictures of everything we may need to know about the property. Beds are comfortable, the kitchen is well stocked and the backyard provides a beautiful place to sit and relax. This was perfect for our stay to explore the Puget Sound, Tacoma and Seattle.
This was a family vacation with 2 of my adult children and their families. The home was perfectly located in Tacoma for everything we planned to see and do! The house was spacious and beautiful! Two of the grandchildren loved the basement sleeping quarters and nicknamed it their “lair”. Plenty of games for down time. Mel was a great host!
Beautiful, classic charm. The home is gorgeous and well taken care of. The beds and linens are high quality. Kitchen and bathrooms are well stocked. The renter is welcoming and easy to communicate with. Being an older home there are few plug ins and some of the light switches can be tricky but not an issue at all for so much charm. Felt like home, didn't want to leave.
We drove up to the house and said “Oh”, then looked at the surrounding neighborhood and added “la la”. We felt instantly comfortable. The listing description was accurate, and the host was attentive – responding quickly to anything we asked. Not mentioned in the listing is the fact that parking is a non-issue (park in the driveway or, equally easy, on the street). You can’t ask for more.
We came from CA to celebrate our daughters 23rd birthday. The house was perfect. Many different gathering areas, stocked with everything you need. We enjoyed the fireplace and a surprise ❄️ snowstorm. Location was nice. I loved my daily walks through the enchanted neighborhoods. Owner was wonderful and responded quickly. She even brought us bottled water and ice on day 2. Melanie and her home are lovely and you won’t be disappointed. BOOK THIS HOME. Can’t wait to stay again!!!!
This large gorgeous home is in a safe neighborhood that met all our needs. Melanie was an amazing host and kept in touch with me during our stay. The accommodations were clean, and family friendly. The kids loved the downstairs basement/game/movie room. We were there for my daughters graduation which was conveniently 10 minutes away from the house at the Tacoma Convention Center. We were able to meet timelines with ease. I would definitely recommend this house to anyone, if they’re ever are staying in Tacoma. So glad we found this gem! :)
My family of four (myself, husband, 4YO and 1YO) along with my mom stayed here for half of our WA state vacation which was 5 nights. It’s a fun old house. My kids loved the basement with a few toys, TV and giant bean bags. It was also nice to be able to cook and do our laundry while we were there to save on packing. There was a lot to do in Tacoma as well as Seattle and the house had a great location. I even walked my son 0.7 miles to the nearby Wright Park. Melanie was very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed the house. The only thing we would add would be a small fire pit as the little backyard is a really nice little hangout space, but we did realize that since wildfires are an annual concern, maybe a fire pit isn’t a smart investment. Plenty of space for my family and we hope to be able to visit again.
