About this property

Bigfoot Lodge Room Two - Mountain Getaway With Private River Access

The Bigfoot Lodge is located near the Ocoee River and offers private river access to the Lower Ocoee River via our riverfront property across the road. It is in the SE TN mountains and is less than three miles from the Cherokee National Forest. The Lodge has a total of four rooms with shared walls, but each room has a separate entrance, and they are all totally separate rental units. Each room has a kitchenette with a microwave, mini-fridge, and a coffee pot with coffee provided. We also have charcoal grills and two fire pits located outside of the lodge.

Our property is located just two miles off the main road, so it is very accessible, but is also in a peaceful country setting. The Bigfoot Lodge is nestled into the woods with beautiful scenery. We regularly see deer wandering through the property and have an abundance of wildlife. Our resort has a total of 35 acres with private river access to the lower Ocoee River. Our main property where the cabins are located is a 26-acre property where we have a Frisbee disc golf course, a covered pavilion with grills & picnic tables for cookouts, a basketball goal, corn hole set, darts and a ping pong table for your enjoyment. Additionally, our riverfront 9-acre property is across the road from our main property and has a great swimming and fishing hole and has some picnic tables and a fire pit down by the river for your enjoyment. Bring your own canoe or tubes and use our private river takeout for a nice laid-back float down the Lower Ocoee River. We also have some amazing spots for star gazing that will not be dimmed by city lights. We have Wi-Fi with high-speed internet onsite. The lodge has a large covered front porch that is a shared space with other guests.

In addition to whitewater rafting, the Ocoee River area offers great hiking trails including several spectacular waterfalls, boating and fishing on nearby Parksville Lake, top notch mountain biking trails in a scenic setting, glider rides, geocaching, and more. We also have special deals with local rafting companies that allow you to get a discount from them when you are a guest at Bigfoot. Most whitewater rafting companies offer trips on the Ocoee River March through October. The Ocoee River was the site for the 1996 whitewater Olympic events and has action packed class 3-4 rapids. It is one of the top whitewater destinations in the entire country.

If a guest needs something we are happy to accommodate. The phones are always forwarded to a staff member’s cell phone, so we are easy to get in touch with.
Welcome to the Bigfoot Lodge. We have provided some of the basics including some dishware, cups, silverware and a coffee pot with coffee. Before you leave, please rinse anything that was used and leave it in the sink for us so our cleaning staff can wash and disinfect all items for future use. While you are staying with us, we also ask that you please keep the doors shut so that bugs are not let inside. Please keep in mind that we have other rentals on the property and that quiet hours are from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM to ensure that any other guests staying with us that may be sleeping are not disturbed. When you go to checkout, please turn off all lights and AC/Heater, leave any used towels on the floor in the bathroom, and you can leave the sheets on the bed for us to take care of. Lastly, please lock the doors for us on whenever you leave. We hope you enjoy your stay! If you need anything while you are with us, please give us a call as that is the quickest way to reach us.

Very clean and comfortable stay. However, and this nothing on the host, but neighbors partied until 1 a.m. and was very loud. Couldn't sleep. They have signs saying no noise after 11 and uneven heard the neighbors joking about it super intoxicated. Was hard to sleep. I get that it's the lodge and it's expected but after 11 would be been nice if they were more quiet. Otherwise great place to stay and very close to the rafting which is what brings everyone there.

David, Thanks for taking the time to leave us a review! Sorry to hear that you ended up with neighbors that broke the house rules and kept you up. We try our best to monitor this and are quick to respond if we are made aware of a situation where a guest is disturbing other guests. We'd love to have you back. We also do have some private cabin rental options for a little more where you would not have any neighbors. We hope to have you back in the future. Thanks, Trevor, Owner, Bigfoot Outfitters
